Atari®, one of the world’s most iconic consumer brands and interactive entertainment producers, today announced the release of five classic flight simulation games on Steam. The collection includes two titles from revered game designer Sid Meier — Solo Flight and F-15 Strike Eagle, along with three other popular titles from the golden age of gaming: Harrier Jump Jet, Dog Fight: 80 Years of Aerial Warfare, and The Ancient Art of War in the Skies. The games will be available individually and in special bundles for Windows PC via Steam.

The MicroProse™ flight simulation titles, re-released by Atari, will be available on Steam individually for $6.99 each. Strike Eagle and Ancient Art of War launch today with Solo Flight, Harrier Jump Jet, and Dogfight: 80 Years of Aerial Warfare scheduled for release next week. Bundles are available, including a special Sid Meier collection, with limited-time discounts. Pilots, Comanche gets a full release! Some time has passed since the last Early Access Update, as we were preparing a lot of new content. Seven brand new Conflicts missions await to be conquered and mastered. For the first time, you can pilot different Comanche variants in some of them. Also, beware of two new enemies: Deadly sniper railguns will take you down instantly without any hesitation. ICBM carriers need to be disabled before they launch dangerous payloads causing fatal damage.

Many missions got a new graphical treatment, be it old or new ones. Visual effects were polished to look even better, and lighting setups in missions were adjusted for a better atmosphere. We focused also on the experience outside of the game. The great news is that Comanche is now playable in English, French, German, Spanish, Polish, Czech, Russian, and Chinese. The community can now beat all achievements (on Steam, MSFT, GOG) or collect every trading card (Steam only).

Comanche is in its full strength now. We are very thankful for your feedback during the Early Access period, it is highly appreciated and allowed us to make the game better with every update.

In its continuing mission to deliver the best air combat gaming experience to fans, the Project Aces team has created a DLC package featuring the aircraft skins of the Japan Air Self Defense Force (JASDF) which will be available for download on August 31. In addition to the new aircraft skins, this latest DLC package will also feature classic background music from past ACE COMBAT games that will play during multiplayer matches.

A new trailer from DCS World unveils a new free-to-play program for Eagle Dynamics’ extensive integrated flight simulator family. This will allow players to evaluate any of its aircraft and map modules for free for up to 14 days. Although DCS World is also offered through Steam, they express regrets that the F2P offer does not apply there:

Today, we are also introducing a new Free to Play system that lets you evaluate all of our modules (aircraft and maps) for 14 days. You can play each module sequentially for 14 days or any number of them at a time. Once you have ‘consumed’ the 14 days, you will be given another 14 day free trial period for all modules six months later. Enjoy the offer and please tell your friends!

Fly the DCS: F/A-18C Hornet for two weeks and then DCS: F-16C Viper for another two. You can download new terrains at the same time, whatever you fancy. Each module will give you 14 days to evaluate and enjoy them without any limitations or obligations. If you’ve tried a module and aren’t 100% certain about purchasing, you can re-evaluate six months later.

Campaigns are excluded.

The latest Early Access update for Comanche features a brand new single-player mode called “Conflicts” which offers challenging missions to master. Conflicts Mode is a set of various single-player missions, separate from the story campaign. In each mission, you will have to fulfill specific requirements in order to get all of the medals for that particular challenge. Only after earning all of the medals, will you be able to unlock the next mission.

BANDAI NAMCO announces new Experimental Aircraft DLC is coming to ACE COMBAT 7: SKIES UNKNOWN, offering the chance to be a test pilot with the pack’s titular experimental aircraft. This includes three plans, new skins, and new emblems. The Announcement Trailer offers a look and the brief announcement adds in some details:

The sheer variety of playable aircraft has always been a cornerstone feature of the ACE COMBAT franchise and ACE COMBAT 7: SKIES UNKNOWN continues that tradition. This latest incoming delivery of cutting-edge combat aircraft will arrive in spring 2021 and will feature “Experimental Aircraft,” including:

• F-15 S/MTD (The Boeing Company)
• F-16XL (Lockheed Martin Corporation)
• FB-22 Strike Raptor (Lockheed Martin Corporation)

All three experimental aircraft feature enhanced performance and attack capabilities. In addition to these three aircraft, new skins and emblems of enemy pilots and rival units from storied ACE COMBAT chapters of the past will be included with this latest “Experimental Aircraft Series” DLC package.

It has been two years already since Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown was released, reaching more than 2.5 million units sold worldwide.

To mark this two-year milestone and celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Ace Combat series with our community of pilots from across the world; a free update will be released tomorrow, January 19th, bringing more skins and emblems to customize their aircraft!
