Sudden Strike 5 Charts its Next Offensive with Roadmap Details

Following its successful global launch on April 23, Sudden Strike 5 continues to gain momentum, and the battlefield is far from quiet. Today, Kalypso Media and Kite Games announced that a lineup of new content and game improvements are already in motion, reinforcing the team’s long-term commitment to evolving the Sudden Strike experience shaped by both developer vision and player input.

The first addition arriving to the game will be a quality-of-life update that will incorporate player feedback and requests from the community to include overall gameplay experience improvements and bug fixes. Following this, Co-op Mode will be introduced. Its addition will open the door for players and their favorite strategy-gaming plus one, to coordinate battlefield tactics across the entire campaign together as a fortified RTS team.

Next, a DLC will bring forth an exciting and currently classified six-mission campaign. Complete details of the upcoming DLC campaign, its release date and price will be revealed soon. Lastly, the Scenario Editor will round out the content additions outlined in the roadmap, offering players the ability to create and engage in player-generated content.

New Sudden Strike 5 Demo Live on Steam Prior to April 23 Launch

The development team has addressed player feedback received during the initial demo earlier this February, resulting in a range of performance and gameplay improvements prior to its full launch on April 23.

In this demo, command forces from the Soviet and Western Allied factions in two missions, “Attack on Monte Cassino” (Western Allies) and “Defense of Sevastopol” (Soviets). These reworked missions deliver feedback-specific game improvements including higher and more stable framerate, reduced frame drops during combat, reduced stuttering and improved frame pacing, improved pathfinding, and improved responsiveness of AI patrol units. At launch, Sudden Strike 5 will feature a massive 25 mission campaign, multiplayer modes, along with additional balancing, and final refinements.

Sudden Strike 5 Announces Participation in Steam Next Fest

sudden-strike-5Publisher Kalypso Media and Developer Kite Games have today announced that Sudden Strike 5, their upcoming Real-Time Strategy WWII game and latest installment in the Sudden Strike series, will have a playable demo during the Steam Next Fest from today, February 23rd, up until March 2nd. This comes following a successful Closed Beta period last year and nearly a decade since the previous game, Sudden Strike 4, released in 2017.

Generals, prepare to fall in line and command the forces of two out of the three factions across two specially selected missions, “Attack on Monte Cassino” (Western Allies) and “Defence of Sevastopol” (Soviets) – the final game will also include the ability to play as the Axis forces. These two missions are just a taste of the full game, which will include a massive 25-missions across the three faction campaigns, ranging from icy tundra to the blistering heat of Northern Africa. At launch, the full game will feature 25 missions, multiplayer modes, along with additional balancing, and improvements not present in this demo.
