The Balfour Declaration, November 2nd 1917

Never a wargame has depicted in such fine detail one the most controversial parts of contemporary history. The proclamation of the Israeli state in 1948 and the US recognizing the state in that exact same day, opens up over four decades of conflicts, key battles, struggles and hostilities. This was also the time of landmark progression and evolution of tactics and weapons systems, where the weapons of NATO and the WARSAW PACT were tested on the battlefields.

The Middle East is on fire!

Campaign Series: Middle East 1948 – 1985 has been released and this great wargame is ready to bring to life many of the tactical and technological innovations developed for the first time in the Cold War era!

Ten historical conflicts are covered in 3 Linked Campaigns and 65 scenarios (along with over a thousand of unique platoons available), this title describes the struggle for ascendancy in the Middle East with depth and with a military precision rarely achieved in a videogame!

Face off in an ancient conflict fought with modern weapons!

The German Invasion of Great Britain is probably one of the most momentous what ifs of the Second World War: what was the German plan? What were the key objectives of the invasion?

To answer these questions Panzer Corps is back with a huge DLC, comprised of over 30 scenarios covering all the possible phases of the invasion: Operation Sea Lion!

Designer Nico has worked hard alongside the core developer team to make this expansion one of the most challenging ever created for Panzer Corps. The complex structure of the campaign allows you to choose between different attacking vectors depending on your actions on the battlefield. The campaign can be started with the core force from DLC 40, so you can begin the invasion of England with the core forces that emerged victorious in France. Alternatively you can start with a preset core force.

Be prepared! Operation Sea Lion will release on October 15th!

Operation Sea Lion is an expansion for Panzer Corps and requires Panzer Corps to be played.

A new article on Bethesda.net outlines how character progression will work in Fallout 4. They offer a special S.P.E.C.I.A.L. chart along with a video, and a pretty detailed rundown on how the system will play out in the next installment in the RPG series. Here’s a bit:

What’s important is that each of these Perks is actually a mini Perk tree*, with multiple ranks that also do new things. Gun Fu above allows even more damage the more targets you select, increasing to instant Critical Shots. Gunslinger has ranks that up the range of pistols, add a chance to disarm enemies, and even instant limb crippling shots.

These additional ranks do require your character to be a higher level. This allows us to make some powerful Perk ranks that reward your investment in a certain SPECIAL as well as that individual Perk. It also allows us to fold Perks we liked from previous games into Perk ranks in this new system. For example, the Fallout 3 perk Paralyzing Palm (paralyze enemies through hand-to-hand), now becomes the Rank 5 Perk for Iron Fist. But you need to have chosen the previous 4 ranks of Iron Fist and be level 46. We also pushed old Perks to do new things at higher ranks. Strong Back doesn’t just up the amount you can carry; higher ranks of it allow you to fast-travel while encumbered or even run while encumbered at the cost of Action Points.

Also, Bethesda has released the third video in the Fallout 4 S.P.E.C.I.A.L. video series, titled “Endurance”. Click here to view it along with the first two videos in the series.

Publisher My.com and developer Obsidian Entertainment announce this weekend will be a stress test of Armored Warfare that will be open to all interested in checking out the upcoming mechanized combat game. They are updating the game to version 0.9 with a new PvP map, new PvE missions, and more, all of which are detailed in this update. The free period runs from September 24-25, and you can head over to the Armored Warfare website on the 23rd to download the game client. Here’s word:

Stress Testing is the final test phase before the Open Beta launch. Its aim is to provide the developers with feedback regarding the stability of the server system and its ability to handle a large amount of players. In order to obtain these results, the game needs as many players as possible playing at the same time.

Stress Testing will test the abilities and capacity of the server clusters, pushing them to their limits in order to accomplish the goals of the test round. Under these circumstances, players should expect the following issues: server queues, occasional latency spikes, and reduced server stability.

In addition, purchasing gold will not be possible during the Stress Test phase. Progress will however carry over from the Early Access phase for players who previously participated in the Early Access test.

MSI has been on a roll lately and their ‘Gaming’ series has been at the forefront of a newly revived motherboard lineup. Much like GIGABYTE’s own Gaming-branded products and ASUS’ RoG brand these boards cater to gamers and overclockers alike with a unique mix of features and capabilities that were specifically chosen for their intended market. Make no mistake about it though, these boards are anything but a direct knockoff of competitors’ solutions; MSI has taken their own approach to designing motherboards they think entice some very picky customers. Is it possible to make a competent gaming grade, feature rich Skylake motherboard for under $200? MSI’s new Z170A Gaming M5 dares to ask that question.
