Overhauled version of Ghost Field features new Global Operations version

Developer and global publisher My.com are proud to announce an overhauled PvP and Global Operations version of the Ghost Field map. The new version of the map takes tank commanders back to Bulgaria to battle it out with enemy factions over the remains of the old Bezmer air-base. The overhauled PvP version of the Ghost Field map introduces a number of changes to the terrain itself as well as to the cover and foliage layout. These enhancements were made with the spotting system changes from recent updates to Armored Warfare – Tanks Reloaded in mind and enhance the gameplay experience significantly.

The map is now available for the Global Operations mode as well. In this mode, players can fight over neutral points on the map to deploy AI controlled help for their team, including Airstrikes and Recon UAV’s. Players going into Global Operations will notice another significant change to the explosive hybrid of PvP and PvE. The mode no longer requires tank commanders to pay for ammunition and repair costs, making the mode more profitable to participate in for all.

Armored Warfare – Tanks Reloaded is a free-to-play massively multiplayer online tactical military game that puts the player into the world of modern warfare. In Armored Warfare – Tanks Reloaded, players get a chance to try the most powerful tools of destruction invented by mankind – from modern main battle tanks to scouts and wheeled vehicles. Using modern defense systems like anti-missile protection and smoke grenades, along with various types of armor and ammunition, players can jump into fast paced battles both in PvP mode and a vast amount of PvE missions.

More information about the Ghost Field map, along with a new trailer, can be found on the Armored Warfare news page.

afghanistan-11-boxIf you love the original co-in strategy game developed by Every Single Soldier, Afghanistan ’11, then we have some wonderful news for you. We are currently working on a big, major free update for the game which will add some new important features!

So, what is being added?

We have a long list of changes, many of them affecting gameplay, but there are two brand new features which stand out.

The MOAB

That’s right! The Mother of All Bombs is coming to Afghanistan ’11! With a big cost of 4000 political points you will be able to use this bomb on the Intel map. It will decrease the H&M of every neighboring village but it will also disable any militia or Taliban cave in its radius!

Convoys

Ever heard the old saying that there’s safety in numbers? Now you can apply that concept in your logistical plans and deploy convoys moving between your headquarters and FOBs. Build a convoy in base, select a convoy leader, then attach up to other 5 vehicles to it!

These new features will surely assist you in organizing your logistics network.

What else?

Lots of things. You can now drop emergency UN Aid on villages, helicopters can now level up and acquire a higher resistance to RPG fire, a new rappelling animation for Special Forces unloading from helicopters on mountains, explosions adjacent to villages reducing H&M, and much much more!

1.10 is currently in Beta so feel free to join and check it out!

Visit the Afghanistan ’11 official product page for more game information.

asus-x299-prime-deluxeBy Hilbert Hagedoorn @ Guru3D

It is time for our second X299 review, this turn goes to the X299 Prime Deluxe from ASUS. A totally fab looking motherboard in black and white accents with a small embedded LCD display. It’s not just about the looks though as the X299 motherboard can house Kaby-Lake-X and Skylake-X processors, but also is injected with a lot of extra features.

gigabyte-aorus-ax370-gaming-5By Steven Kean @ Legit Reviews

The AMD Ryzen processor has been out for four months now, and there have been many updates to make things run a little smoother. While many were very upset at the launch issues, we should all acknowledge that these type of issues happen whenever there is a major architecture change; we just tend to forget about them over time. The issues at launch included gaming performance, power usage and memory incompatibility. After the first big update that was to fix gaming performance, we took a look at the AMD Ryzen 1700X and checked how it performed against the Intel i7-7700k in a 14 Game Showdown. We found that Ryzen had indeed stepped up and looked to perform much better than at release in a gaming environment. Gigabyte has been working hard with AMD to resolve the memory incompatibility issues, when we originally tested the Ryzen 1700X our test kit, HyperX Predator 3200MHz, was only able to run at 2933MHz with manual settings. Gigabyte Aorus says they have resolved the memory issues, so we are going to give it another shot and take a closer look at the Gigabyte Aorus AX370-Gaming 5 motherboard which can be purchased online for $189.99 with free shipping.

Bohemia Interactive celebrates the 16th anniversary of the Arma series with the releases of the free 5-vs-5 tactical first-person shooter Argo and the free Malden DLC for Arma 3.

Both Argo and the Arma 3 Malden DLC deploy players to a re-imagination of Malden – the iconic island terrain from the first Arma game, which was released today sixteen years ago on June 22nd 2001. The new Malden (also referred to as ‘Malden 2035’) spans 62 km2 of landmass, and with many of its unique locations having been designed to support Argo’s infantry focus, the new terrain is specifically suited for close-quarters combat. Malden 2035 features 15 towns and villages, and many other special points of interest such as an airfield, bunkers, a radio station, a goat farm, a fjord and rock formations, orchards and vineyards, a desert area, and more. In comparison to the original Malden, the number and names of the towns and villages, and all locations of hills, crossroads, gas stations, have remained the same. For those who do not remember or did not experience Arma’s first deployment to the island, Bohemia Interactive posted a new video in which someone people might know from the Cold War Crisis campaign, U.S. Special Forces veteran James Gastovski, shares his memories of his deployment to Malden back in 1985. View the Arma 3 Malden DLC Trailer HERE.

Graduating from Bohemia Incubator, Argo is an Arma-based hardcore tactical multiplayer first-person shooter, in which players fight as mercenaries over the remnants of a crashed space station. The game features three competitive 5-vs-5 game modes (Clash, Link, and Raid), and based on their performance, players earn experience points, which can be used to unlock new weapons, weapon attachments, and gear. The game also features a 10-player cooperative game mode (Combat Patrol), where players need to team up to fight against AI in an open-world setting. As a bonus, Argo includes a 3D Scenario Editor. Here players can set up their own military operations and alter or create game modes. Argo is available completely for free on Steam and will not require any form of payment to play the game. Those who would like to support the game do have the opportunity to purchase the Argo “Supporter’s Pack” at € 9.99 / $ 9.99 / £ 6.99 on Steam or the Bohemia Store. As a token of gratitude, this pack comes with a few special in-game rewards which do not affect gameplay: 13 exclusive animations for the MVP screen at the end of each match, a bundle of 23 unique apparel items, the ability to use vehicles in the 3D Scenario Editor, access to premium Argo Supporter servers, and the names of supporters are highlighted on the leaderboards. View the Argo Launch Trailer HERE.

The development of Argo also benefits Arma 3 players, who will today be receiving the free Arma 3 Malden DLC, and which is automatically added to their Steam Library. The Malden DLC features the re-imagined 62 km2 Malden terrain also used in Argo, plus a variant of Argo’s Combat Patrol cooperative sandbox mode, supporting up to 12 players. In addition, the Malden DLC delivers new structures and buildings to Arma 3 content creators, the ‘Escape from Malden’ and ‘Escape from Tanoa’ survival multiplayer scenarios, and orchestral renditions of the classic Arma Cold War Assault and Arma 3 main theme songs (music is available only to owners of the Arma 3 Digital Deluxe Edition, Arma 3 Extended Edition, Arma 3 Apex Edition, Arma 3 Special Edition, and Arma 3 Supporter Edition). Meanwhile, Arma 3 is currently on sale for the lowest price it has ever been on Steam and the Bohemia Store, with discounts up to 66% on the Arma 3 base game, Arma 3 Apex expansion, and Arma 3 DLC.
