This year, Crusader Kings III will add new threads to the rich medieval tapestry players can weave. Today’s launch of Chapter V reveals the upcoming plans for Paradox Interactive’s celebrated grand-strategy role-playing game, including two expansions that highlight major new playstyle options and greater depth and historical flavor as well as a music pack and cosmetic pack that are available Today. Today, Crusader Kings III is also getting a major free update, adding new ways to find information about your game, with an improved ledger and other stat tracking, as well as more shortcuts, changes to the interface, new sound cues and more.

The two upcoming expansions, By God Alone and Silk & Silver, focus on aspects of the medieval world that the wider Crusader Kings community has wanted to see explored in more depth. By God Alone deepens the religious themes of the game, with more attention to the evolution of Christianity in Europe and how medieval secular rulers competed with the religious orders for power and wealth. Silk & Silver opens up merchant republics for play, letting you take the position of a medieval merchant rising to power through shrewd trading, political office, or noble patronage.

THE YEAR IS 2039.

For a quarter century, the last survivors of nuclear war have been locked in bitter conflict deep in the Metro tunnels beneath the poisoned city of Moscow. Now, the underground factions are unified under one banner – the Novoreich, led by a new Fuhrer: the legendary Spartan, Hunter. Blue Dot Games are proud to reveal that their upcoming 40v40 squad-based tactical first-person shooter ‘83 is coming to Steam Early Access on April 23rd. Set in an alternate 1983 where the Cold War escalated into an all-out warzone, ‘83 is a spiritual successor to Rising Storm 2: Vietnam, with members of the original dev team founding Blue Dot Games. To commemorate the Early Access release date reveal, Blue Dot Games has unleashed a new trailer offering an extended look at its launch trailer debuted during the Galaxies Showcase today.

Sudden Strike 5, the highly anticipated Real-Time Strategy WWII game and latest instalment in the Sudden Strike series, is available once again as a playable demo on Steam. The development team has addressed player feedback received during the initial demo earlier this February, resulting in a range of performance and gameplay improvements prior to its full launch on April 23.

In this demo, command forces from the Soviet and Western Allied factions in two missions, “Attack on Monte Cassino” (Western Allies) and “Defense of Sevastopol” (Soviets). These reworked missions deliver feedback-specific game improvements including higher and more stable framerate, reduced frame drops during combat, reduced stuttering and improved frame pacing, improved pathfinding, and improved responsiveness of AI patrol units. At launch, Sudden Strike 5 will feature a massive 25 mission campaign, multiplayer modes, along with additional balancing, and final refinements.

Today, Battlefield Studios revealed a detailed roadmap for Battlefield 6 and REDSEC, providing a blockbuster overview into what’s in store for players throughout the remainder of 2026, including sneak peeks at the massive maps set to arrive in the game, plus the return of Naval Warfare and a host of priority features being added this year.

BATTLEFIELD 2026 ROADMAP TRAILER

Season 3 kicks off in May with a reimagining of a classic Battlefield 4 map, now called Railway to Golmud, which will be the biggest map in Battlefield 6 yet. Set within Tajikistan after the events of the campaign, this fan favorite has been optimized to match Battlefield 6’s visual fidelity and gameplay. Then later in the season another legendary map arrives, with an updated reimagining of Battlefield 3’s Grand Bazaar, called Cairo Bazaar.

Season 3 also sees the debut of REDSEC’s Ranked Play experience, which will launch in Battle Royale Quads, setting the stage for a thrilling competitive experience that will evolve in future seasons based on feedback from the community.

Later this summer Season 4 launches, with the release of Naval Warfare in both Battlefield 6 and REDSEC. Tsuru Reef, a new naval-focused map, which will be the biggest warground yet, with gigantic air and sea spaces, new naval-based vehicles, aircraft carriers with operational flight decks, plus a dynamic wave system that will heighten the intensity of ocean combat. This season, Battlefield will also return to Wake Island, one of most celebrated maps in the series’ history.

Season 5 closes out the year, taking players to a location new to the Battlefield franchise, rewarding players with the special holiday jackpot of three maps dropping within a single season.

Throughout the year, the team at Battlefield Studios will continue to work on a host of quality of life updates and combat improvements, working closely with the community to continually enhance the experience. Upcoming priority features coming this year include leaderboards, a spectator mode, the release of proximity chat, and an eagerly anticipated Server Browser with Persistent Servers to give players even more options to host and play preferred experiences.

The Open and Elite competitive series, the pinnacle of competition in Battlefield, will arrive this year following our work with players in evolving the Ranked Play experience. This series will showcase the absolute best competitive play that Battlefield has to offer on the global stage.
