AMD released the latest version of Radeon Software Adrenalin drivers. Version 22.1.2 beta comes with optimization for “Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Extraction,” and support for new graphics cards launching today, including the Radeon RX 6500 XT, RX 6400, RX 6500M, and RX 6300M. The only issue fixed with this release addresses longer-than-expected load times for “Borderlands 3″ in DirectX 12 mode with Radeon Boost enabled, on certain RDNA2-series GPUs.

The Radeon Software Adrenalin 22.1.2 drivers are available online at the AMD driver download page.

NVIDIA has released the GeForce 511.23 WHQL drivers. These drivers introduce support for Windows 11 Dynamic Refresh Rate feature, and formally debut NVIDIA Deep Learning Dynamic Super Resolution (DLDSR). This is an interesting new feature that’s an inverse of DLSS, and works to improve eye-candy of older games. Your game is rendered at a higher resolution than your display head, and the render is intelligently scaled down to enhance detail. Such a feature already existed with DSR, but DLDSR adds certain “smarts” by adjusting the higher render resolution on-the-fly, to improve performance. The drivers also add support for CUDA 11.6, even more OpenCL extensions, and a handful more Vulkan extensions, besides support for even more G-SYNC compatible displays.

As a Game Ready driver, version 511.23 adds optimization for “God of War,” including support for DLSS and Reflex; and “The Anacrusis.” The fixes and known-issues list of this driver appears identical to that of the GeForce 511.17 drivers released earlier last week.

You can download the GeForce 511.23 WHQL Game Ready drivers via GeForce.com.

That is correct, 12 GB! Familiarize yourself to the GeForce RTX 3080 Sumprim X 12GB and revel in the stillness. Join us as we examine the all-new GeForce RTX 3080, a refresh model that features increased memory and even faster-rendering performance. We put MSI’s Suprim X revision to the test. And you’re aware of what that entails: complete silence and enthusiast performance levels. NVIDIA’s refresh RTX 3080 graphics cards include increased graphics RAM and memory bus width. Additionally, the number of shader cores has been increased to 8960, up from 8704 on the RTX 3080 10GB. The GA-102 chip will remain the GPU of choice for the card. A 384-bit memory bus width increase gives the card 912 GB/s of bandwidth, which is comparable to the RTX 3080 Ti (which had 760 GB/s). The GeForce RTX 3080 12GB will have a thermal design power of 340-350W, which is similar to the thermal design power of the RTX 3080 Ti despite having more cores but the same memory configuration.

AMD released the year’s first Radeon Software Adrenalin software update. Version 22.1.1 comes with optimization for “Monster Hunter Rise,” and “God of War,” with up to 7% performance increase measured at 4K Ultra settings with the RX 6900 XT, compared to the previous 21.12.1 drivers. A handful issues were also fixed. To begin with, high idle memory clocks noticed on machines with multiple high-resolution monitors, has been fixed. Power Tuning components of a saved tuning profile not correctly loading following a Radeon Software update, has been fixed. Visual corruption noticed with “Halo Infinite” when zoomed-in, on machines with products such as the RX 5600 XT, has been fixed. Flickering noticed in “Fortnite” with RX 6000 series graphics cards in DirectX 12 mode with Radeon Boost enabled, as been fixed.

The Radeon Software Adrenalin 22.1.1 drivers are available online at the AMD driver download page.
