Ubisoft  reveals details about Last Stand, the upcoming third expansion for Tom Clancy’s The Division. They have released this teaser trailer. Some info on the new expansion:

In Expansion III: Last Stand, we’re adding new ways to compete with other players and a new way to experience the Dark Zone, in a brand new separate game mode! Compared to the open and unstructured nature of the Dark Zone you’ll find in the game right now, Last Stand is session based and features clear objectives and win conditions, while still incorporating aspects of the Dark Zone such as PvE enemies and Landmarks.

When the situation in the Dark Zone escalated, as the outbreak spiraled out of control and all semblance of civilization collapsed, the Joint Task Force was forced to withdraw from the area, leaving behind important tactical terminals; SHD tech data relays loaded with operational information. Now, Rogue agents are closing in on those relays and if they manage to get their hands on the information, it would be catastrophic for the SHD and the mission to save New York.

It will be your job, together with a group of seven other Division agents, to stop that from happening.

CI Games introduces Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3, the most complete sniper experiences in the market to date. Each character has his or her unique experiences and motivations, both professionally and personally. How each of the characters’ goals and personality quirks conflict or compliment each other makes for a deeper richer player experience. Jon North is dropped into a hot conflict zone in the Republic of Georgia. Located at the crossroads of Western Asia and Eastern Europe, Georgia is of critical strategic importance and is sliding into the chaos and slaughter of civil war. Jon’s JSOC mission is to neutralize the Separatist Leaders who are destabilizing the country.

Personally, Jon is coming to grips with the capture and presumed death of his younger brother, Robert, nearly two years ago. Jon was present at the attack and was unable to save Robert. Recent intelligence chatter puts a very much alive Robert in Georgia, in an area controlled by Separatists. Jon believes he has a second chance to do right by his brother.

Jon is a Marine first, and deeply committed to the relentless pursuit of his professional mission. Frank Simms, Jon’s long-time JSOC handler, is sympathetic to Jon’s personal goal, as long as Jon completes his official assignment. Jon chooses a team who will help him accomplish both.

His first pick is Lydia Jorjadze, an ex-Georgian SFB and mercenary. Lydia is a battle-tested veteran who fought bravely at Jon’s side in Afghanistan. Their passionate affair ended when Jon abruptly disappeared after emerging from a deadly firefight. Lydia agrees to help Jon, with a personal agenda of finding out what really happened in Afghanistan.

Raquel Shein, a deadly MOSSAD agent, also agrees to help if Jon will help her find Sergei Flostov. Flostov is a brilliant rogue scientist conducting forbidden experiments. The Israelis want to find him and shut him down.

As the team eliminates Separatist Leaders, and teams with the Georgian Resistance, a mysterious high tech sniper, named Amazi, both thwarts and assists them. Jon fights through a treacherous web of criminal, military, and shadowy terrorist forces.

Beta players will be given a chance to experience the beautiful open-world setting of the Republic of Georgia and get exclusive access to two single-player missions: Cut Off and Blockout. The Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 Beta will officially begin on February 3, 2017.

Flying Tigers: Shadows Over China prepares for multi-lingual release

As Flying Tigers: Shadows Over China gets ready for international release, a decent number of translations are being prepared for implementation courtesy of today’s “Lingua Franca” update. Soon, air-combat action gamers in Germany, France, Poland, Spain, China, Japan, Mexico, Taiwan, Russia, Brazil, and more countries, can take to the skies in their native language.

On a side note, the Lingua Franca moniker was chosen as a name for the final English update as the term fittingly means “a language or dialect used to make communication possible between people who do not share a native language”.

Launched on Steam’s Early Access programme in August 2015, Flying Tigers: Shadows Over China is approaching final release.

Update details as follows…

• Strings: Finalized English-language strings in preparation for translation and the upcoming multi-lingual/international release.
• Performance: 3D-renderer now optimized for low-end PCs, circa +30% more efficient occlusion culling, resulting in lower stress on bandwidth.
• UX: New default. Players can now toggle the free-roaming Panoramic Camera by holding Left ALT and moving the mouse to look around (if playing on MOUSE+KEYBOARD, for example).
• GUI: Updated text-system for multi-player lobby and console/log output strings.
• Aircraft: Implemented cockpits for amphibious fighter planes A6M2-N “Rufe” and SC-1 “Seahawk”.
• Audio/Music: Updated multiplayer lobby, mission result, and main theme tracks.

Today the ‘ladies of hell’ have arrived… The Highlanders joined the trench warfare!

The Scottish were no stranger to war, and when the call to arms came in 1914, a relatively large number of Scottish young men eagerly joined the ranks of the British in Belgium. Wearing their traditional kilts, they performed many aggressive scouting maneuvers, often finding themselves in the thick of savage battles such as Loos and Arras. They suffered a staggering number of casualties as a result, but were nevertheless undeterred and soon earned the nicknamed the “ladies from hell”.

The Scottish squad will perform the role of aggressive scouting in Verdun. They are armed with their distinctive Pattern 1914 Enfield, a five-round “dog-leg” bolt handle rifle ideal for marksmen. The rifle combines the elements of the famous German Mauser, the five-round internal box magazine, with some Lee-Enfield features. Compared to the standard Lee-Enfield, the Pattern 1914 was more accurate and durable, though heavier as well.

On July 1943, the German war machine had the chance to deal a mortal blow to the Red Army. After the defeat at Stalingrad, it was necessary to regain the initiative and secure the Eastern front. For this purpose, the German High Command massed a huge quantity of Panthers and Tigers tanks in proximity of the Kursk salient, hoping to destroy the bulk of the Russian forces in this area.

But the Soviets, knowing in advance the Hitler’s plan, created over 190 miles of depth defense to stop the Panzerwaffe and they moved their armored forces in reserve for the counter-attack.

The largest tank battle of the entire Second World War was about to commence…

Tigers on the Hunt: Kursk is a DLC containing three Campaign Game Scenarios for Tigers on the Hunt, focused on the key operations during Operation Citadel. This nice addition features a different type of gameplay from the original base game, giving the players a more challenging experience!

A Campaign Game Scenario is a much larger scenario with a lot of units on a large map. The battle lasts generally over several days and nights before the Campaign Game winner is called. To do this the Game Turns are divided into portions for Day (8 Game Turns) and Night (4 Game Turns). See more information on how it works on the official product page here.

Following the steps of the base game, Tigers on the Hunt: Kursk will make you toiling for every inch conquered, fighting against an unforgiving AI!

AMD has released the latest version of its Radeon Software Crimson ReLive Edition. The reason these are not marked 17.1, after January 2017, is because they’re just WHQL-signed versions of the 16.12.2 beta drivers released in December 2016, and as such feature an identical change-log.
