Matrix Games are pleased to announce Flashpoint Campaigns: Cold War has received its first update, v. 3.0.1.10236 focusing on bug fixes. It addresses several scenario issues, improves unit pathfinding, SOP propagation to unit orders, fixes artillery counter-battery behavior, along with a number of other miscellaneous fixes and updates.

Slitherine today has announced Panzer Corps 2 – Allied Operations: Italy Vol. 1, the first chapter of a new grand Allied trilogy covering the liberation of Italy from the invasion of Sicily to final victory.

In Allied Operations: Italy Vol. 1, you will command the British Eighth Army and the US Seventh Army during Operation Husky, the massive amphibious assault that opened the road into Europe’s southern flank. Fight across Sicily’s rugged terrain, break through Axis defensive lines, and push both armies toward a converging offensive against the retreating German and Italian forces.

This DLC features two parallel campaign paths that eventually merge into a unified Allied advance. Slitherine and Frag Games have announced Bolt Action, a turn-based WWII strategy game inspired by the acclaimed tabletop system from Warlord Games. The game brings the miniature battlefield to life in a fully 3D environment, featuring realistic line of sight, terrain, and morale mechanics.

Bolt Action offers a dynamic single-player campaign set during D-Day and the battles of Normandy, alongside multiplayer modes. Players must make careful tactical decisions, positioning troops, timing attacks, and issuing orders to achieve victory.

Armored Warfare is proud to introduce the most important update of the year: a brand-new vehicle class, Legendary Vehicles, now available in the game. These machines are unique combat units with characteristics that significantly surpass their standard counterparts. Their tactical role, battlefield behavior, and acquisition conditions are fundamentally different from all existing content. With this update, players gain access to three Legendary Vehicles: the M10 Longstreet, BMPT Mod. 2025, and Leopard 2A7DK Holger Danske.

M10 Longstreet

An experimental light tank based on a BAE Systems platform. It features outstanding mobility and exceptional rate of fire from its 105 mm M35 gun. Thanks to its aluminum armor, which provides only limited protection, the primary tactic revolves around constant maneuvering. The vehicle is equipped with powerful optics, offers excellent view range, and can reach speeds of up to 86 km/h, enabling highly aggressive gameplay with intense firepower.

BMPT Mod. 2025

A deeply modernized variant of the tank support fighting vehicle. It is armed with a twin 30 mm 2A42 autocannon setup, an improved smoke grenade launcher system, and two types of anti-tank guided missiles, including the upgraded Ataka-X with increased armor penetration. Protection is significantly enhanced by the latest-generation. Hit points have been increased to 3800 HP. Mobility is provided by the 1250 hp V-99F engine, matching the base model. The vehicle is designed to suppress targets with dense autocannon fire or deliver pinpoint strikes with heavy missiles.

Leopard 2A7DK Holger Danske

An assault modification of the Leopard 2A7 main battle tank with dramatically increased protection. Frontal armor has been brought to a level that makes the tank effectively immune to most armor-piercing rounds and ATGMs in the game when engaged from certain angles. The hull and turret are additionally reinforced with add-on armor modules, raising total hit points to 4900 HP. Mobility remains on par with the Leopard 2AX thanks to its 1630 hp engine.

Acquisition Conditions

To unlock a Legendary Vehicle, a player must own the corresponding base model (Prerequisite vehicle) and collect a set of special parts. These parts can be purchased in the Web Shop or earned by completing special achievements. Once all required components are gathered, the respective Legendary Vehicle will be instantly unlocked in the player’s Garage.

Today, Battlefield Studios launched brand new seasonal content for Battlefield 6 and Battlefield REDSEC, with Today’s release of Season 1 – Winter Offensive. This update includes a frozen version of the Empire State map for limited-time game experiences, a Bonus Path containing the new Ice Climbing Axe and much more. The Winter Offensive update also arrives as the REDSEC Elite Series kicks off for top-tier competitive play.

Players can gear up, stay warm, and take complete control of the borough of Brooklyn in Ice Lock, a limited-time visual update to the Empire State map in Battlefield 6 and REDSEC. For this event in Battlefield 6, special versions of Conquest and Domination will be available to play with a Freeze mechanic fully active. With Freeze, areas around the Combat Zone have sub-zero temperatures – over time, a soldier will feel the effects of the Freeze. To avoid being frozen, soldiers can sprint or use an Adrenaline Injector. Alternatively, they can visit designated heat zones around the map to thaw out. This mechanic is only active in specific experiences and is designed to challenge squads to tactically manage resources. Do players risk freezing over to capture a crucial objective or pack enough heat in their loadouts to torch the opposition?

Ice Lock is also coming to REDSEC and will feature a Limited-Time variant in Gauntlet that adds to the experience’s relentless nature with the sheer force of harsh winter conditions. Ice Lock Gauntlet will have a locked set of three missions in every match: Deadlock, Extraction and Wreckage.

With the Winter Offensive Bonus Path players can access a number of new unlockables including the new Ice Climbing Axe and premium customization rewards.

For those mastering Portal, the Winter Offensive update will now be able to use the following new features in their creations allowing more freedom than ever to craft and customize unforgettable experiences.

Set in a fictional 1984 conflict between NATO and the USSR, the game brings the Headquarters formula into a new era of modern warfare, expanded tactical options, and updated battlefield technology.

One of the key additions is the introduction of Utility and Attack Helicopters. These aircraft can fly at low altitude, land to pick up or deploy infantry, and provide new offensive and reconnaissance capabilities. The update also expands the HQ skill trees, introduces new officer abilities, and adjusts overall game balance to better reflect Cold War–era military developments.

A new range of environments, 3D assets, unit models, and UI elements further distinguishes this entry from its World War II predecessor while maintaining the core structure of the Headquarters system.

Gaijin Entertainment announces that the “Line of Contact” major content update for the online military action game War Thunder will launch in late December and will feature closed testing for a completely new mode. This mode focuses on infantry fighting alongside modern ground and air combat vehicles in urban environments. The mode was announced in April 2025, and its open testing is scheduled for 2026. Furthermore, “Line of Contact” will bring new maps and dozens of new vehicles, as well as other improvements and content for existing War Thunder modes.

Infantry battles will take place exclusively on new maps specially created for the new mode. Test participants will be able to fight for two in-game nations (the USA and the USSR/Russia) with pre-installed sets of modern weapons and gear, as well as ground and air vehicles. New maps, nations, and military hardware will regularly be added to the game in the future, just as in other War Thunder modes.

Infantry squads in the Closed Beta will be armed with M4A1, M16A4, M7, AK-74, AK-12, and ASM Val assault rifles; M249 Para and RPK-74M light machine guns; M110A1 SDMR and SVD-M designated marksman rifles; MAC 11 and PP-19 Bizon submachine guns; as well as hand grenades, grenade launchers, MANPADS, reconnaissance drones, and FPV drones. During the Closed Beta, infantry will be supported by M1 Abrams and T-72B tanks, M3A3 Bradley and BMP-3 fighting vehicles, and AH-64A and Mi-24V helicopters.
