MicroProse is proud to announce that it will publish Gunship: Origins, a new combat helicopter game that places players in the cockpit of some of the world’s most iconic military rotorcraft. Designed as a modern combat helicopter experience, the game combines dynamic missions, cooperative multiplayer, and accessible yet rewarding flight mechanics.

Take the Pilot Seat
In Gunship: Origins, players step into the role of a U.S. Army helicopter pilot operating in a contested battlefield filled with armored vehicles, missile batteries, convoys, and fortified enemy positions.

Flying iconic helicopters such as the AH-64 Apache, AH-1 Cobra/Viper, and UH-60 Blackhawk, players must plan their approach, use terrain to avoid enemy defenses, and strike quickly before the enemy can respond.

Dynamic Combat Missions
Missions in Gunship: Origins are dynamically generated, ensuring that each sortie presents new tactical challenges. Players may be tasked with destroying armored columns, escorting transport helicopters into hostile landing zones, intercepting enemy convoys, or striking high-value targets deep behind enemy lines.

Careful planning, teamwork, and quick decision-making are essential to completing objectives and surviving the battlefield.

Fly Solo or With Friends
Players can take on missions alone or join forces in cooperative multiplayer with up to eight players. Friends can occupy pilot and copilot/gunner seats within the same helicopter or coordinate as a multi-aircraft flight to complete complex mission objectives together.

AI wingmen can also assist in missions, allowing players to direct their flight and execute coordinated attacks against enemy forces.

Rise Through the Ranks
Beginning as a Warrant Officer Candidate, players progress through training and combat missions to earn promotions through the U.S. Army officer ranks.

Along the way, pilots can earn authentic military medals and awards that reflect their accomplishments and experience on the battlefield.

Accessible and Cross-Platform
Gunship: Origins is designed to be approachable for newcomers while offering depth for experienced players. Helicopters are easy to learn to fly, but mastering combat tactics and mission coordination will require skill and experience.

The game supports a variety of control setups-from keyboard and mouse to advanced flight hardware-and is optimized to run smoothly across a wide range of systems.

The game features two campaigns, allowing you to experience the conflict from both perspectives.

• NATO Campaign: Command NATO defenders as they hold the line, wait for reinforcements, and launch a counteroffensive to reclaim lost territory.

Each campaign contains 10 missions, for a total of 20 operations across diverse battlefields including cities, river crossings, mountain passes, and key strategic corridors.

The naval strategy sim Rule the Waves 3 has a new DLC, Expanded Battles, now available on Steam. The expansion adds historical scenarios, a ship and scenario editor, and a Quick Battles mode to instantly generate engagements across different eras. Commanders, it’s time to return to the battlefield! The latest Call to Arms: Panzer Elite update rolls out a new set of missions, maps, and features — along with the arrival of the iconic Panzerkampfwagen III Ausführung N.

The update introduces the German campaign mission “Le Dézert”, where players must reinforce the embattled 352nd Infantry Division under relentless American attack — can you push the enemy back?

Switching sides, the new U.S. conquest challenge “Retake the Airfield” delivers a fast-paced tactical operation across open terrain, where players need to rush in with light armored vehicles to seize a crucial airfield.

The Panzer III Ausführung N (officially Pz.Kpfw. III Ausf. N) makes its debut as a versatile armored support unit. Armed with a 7.5 cm KwK 37 L/24 gun and a flexible shell loadout, it bridges the gap between light reconnaissance vehicles and assault tanks — perfect for urban and close-quarters engagements and a powerful tool against enemy infantry.

Today, Battlefield 6 and Battlefield REDSEC received their latest Season 2 update with Nightfall, bringing with it a new limited-time mode, the Hagental Base map, new weapons, and the dirt bike vehicle.

Darkness descends on Battlefield with a new way to play the game. This includes a remix of Hagental Base, with the map transformed with blacked-out corridors presenting excellent opportunities to outflank and outsmart your opponents, using darkness as a weapon. Players will have access to Night Vision Goggles in their loadout to help even the odds, empowering squads with unparalleled pathways to victory with stealth combat fantasy. New weapons include the CZ3A1 SMG and the VZ. 61 sidearm.

Warships of the Pacific Adds 30 New Unit Models

Add greater variety and more historical flavor with the Warships of the Pacific Cosmetic Pack for Hearts of Iron IV. Over two dozen new unit models are added to the game, highlighting the navies of five of the participants in the Asian theater of World War II.

Hearts of Iron IV: Warships of the Pacific includes 30 models of ships from the Pacific theatre including:

• One Republican Chinese light cruiser, the Ning-Hai
• Eight Commonwealth ship models, including the carrier Illustrious and the submarine Trenchant
• Eleven Japanese ships models, including the battleship Kongo, the carrier Shinano and the unique I-400 Sen Toku submarine carrier
• One People’s Republic of China destroyer, the Anshan
• Two Soviet submarine models – the Shchuka and the M49
• Seven American models, including battleships such as Nevada and Tennessee, as well as escort carriers like Casablanca

Hearts of Iron IV: Warships of the Pacific is now available for the suggested retail price of $4.99/￡4.29/€4.99 on Steam. It is also available as a part of the Hearts of Iron IV: Expansion Pass 2.

Update 1.0.3 includes a complete rewrite of the flight model, War Emergency Power, new liveries, and more.

MicroProse released Update 1.0.3 for the B-17G Flying Fortress add-on for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. This is the biggest update to the Flying Fortress since it was released. The update changes the basic flight dynamics and adds a lot of new features, content, and fixes based on community feedback.

A New Standard for Flight Fidelity
Perhaps the biggest highlight for Update 1.0.3 is the completely rewritten flight model. The new model provides a more accurate picture of how the famous heavy bomber handles in all stages of flight, and it was developed using official documentation and fined tuned with the input of the community. War Emergency Power (WEP) has also been added, which gives pilots the ability to boost their performance like crews do in combat situations.

New Features and Systems
Update 1.0.3 adds important new features to many aircraft systems. The APU, or “Putt Putt” auxiliary power unit that B-17 fans know and love, is now working.

The groundwork for the plane’s autopilot system has also been laid, and it will be fully implemented in a future update. Contrails have been added, which add a visual element that makes high-altitude operations feel more real and gives them a more historical feel.
The cockpit has also gotten a big visual upgrade with the addition of cockpit lighting as well as UV instrument lighting. UV lighting makes real gauge reflections on the instrument panels and accurately recreates the glow that crews flying at night and low-light missions during the war saw.

Three New Liveries
This update adds three liveries: Blood ‘n Guts, Sally B, and Big Poison. With these new liveries, there are now ten in total. The final release will have more liveries and a community paint kit.

You can now get the B-17G Flying Fortress for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 on PC and Xbox through the Microsoft Marketplace, Just Flight, and Contrail. All current owners can get Update 1.0.3 for free.
