Naval Action is Now Available on Steam Early Access!

Naval Action is an exciting, realistic, and beautifully detailed naval combat game immersing players into the experience of the most beautiful period of naval history – when sailing ships ruled the seas.

  • Enormous open world – Large open world, recreated based on 18th Century maps, historical harbors, positions, and town names. We do not believe in the various modern hand-holding markers, thus player position is not shown on the map: you will have to navigate yourself using compass, sun or landmarks. PS. battles are instanced to allow extremely complex sailing and fighting calculations for 50 ship battles.
  • Freedom – Build ships, trade, sink enemies of your nation. You can attack anyone almost everywhere. Remember that every action could have consequences. So don’t attack everyone – or you will become a pirate. Conquer almost every port in the Caribbean, but remember! other adventurous captains will try to ruin your plans.
  • Beautiful ships – Accurate hull models, sail plans, guns, internal upgrades, historical speed, turning and heel performance. Ships from small cutters to large 100+ gun 1st rates will allow the player to experience every possible role of the Age of Sail period.
  • Realistic sailing – Advanced wind and physics model provides for realistic portrayal of ship’s performance in the age of sail. Yard angles, ship angle to wind, fittings and ship condition affects speeds and turning rates. Correct tacking, boxhauling, clubhauling and other elements of the age of sail sailing are possible. Hidden ship characteristics will allow to gradually uncover potential of the vessel – every ship in game will be unique.

Ubiblog now offers an interactive map to offer a look at how Manhattan is depicted in Tom Clancy’s The Division. Here’s the explanation of the map, and why it will not help you locate a Starbucks:

If you’ve been keeping up on The Division, then you probably already know its premise: New York City falls victim to an epidemic that not only wipes out most of its citizens, but also sparks unprecedented levels of violence and crime. Its infrastructure is nearly non-existent and the city is on the verge of complete collapse. And now, thanks to an update on The Division site, you can get a closer look at the extent of the destruction through an interactive map.

This map lets you take a 360-degree look at what’s going on in the streets of Manhattan, complete with details and developer insights about key points of interest that will help you and other Agents prepare for various challenges. All you need to do is click on a designated point on the map, and you’ll zoom to street level where you can then explore your surroundings and learn more about New York’s more dangerous elements, like the not-so-friendly Cleaners – a group trying to cleanse the streets of Manhattan by setting just about everything on fire.

Visual Camouflage System now available

Developer Obsidian Entertainment and publisher My.com are proud to present the long awaited camouflage system into Armored Warfare! Players can unlock various camouflage and paint options, which can then be mixed and matched to allow for personalized customization of your vehicle. Each vehicle can have three Camouflage/Paint configurations defined for different environment types (Woodland, Desert or Snow). The correct camouflage will automatically be selected when loading into a map based on that map’s environment type.

Check out the new Armored Warfare video here.

Tank commanders may purchase camouflage options through the customization interface in the garage for either gold or in-game credits, while paint is currently unlocked through completing various achievements for free. Once a paint color has been unlocked, it can be applied to any owned vehicle. Applying a camouflage pattern will add it on top of the newly chosen paint color. Camouflage adds a buff to the vehicle’s camouflage rating, which will help in hiding from enemies and attacking from concealment.

wars-of-napoleonRewrite history to change the outcome of one of the most famous military operations attempted in the modern era. Succeed where most leaders and dictators have failed in the past.

Conquer the United Kingdom and to put an end to the British Empire!

Wars of Napoleon succeeds where others have failed. It puts a wealth of What If scenarios in the hands of the players, with an unprecedented level of detail and accuracy.

To show off one of these scenarios, Slitherine asked the help of Iain Dickie, Chairman of the Battlefield Trust.

In a wonderfully scripted video, Dickie leads players on a journey through one the most intriguing what if scenarios that history has known: the planned – but never fulfilled – French invasion of Great Britain. This huge operation was to employ Napoleon’s mighty Army of England composed of over 200,000 soldiers.

decisive-campaigns-barbarossaBy James Cobb @ The Wargamer

A literal English translation of the German adjective weltgeschichtlich is meaningless and clumsy: “world historical”. A better paraphrase is “world changing” In this sense, Operation Barbarossa, the 1941 German invasion of the Soviet Union, was a weltgeschichtlich event because the world changed because of it. No wonder so many wargames have been produced around this pivotal conflict. Yet, despite its importance, Matrix/Slitherine Games and VR Designs have made it the third entry into the Decisive Campaigns series. The developers have given the conflict a unique point of view distinguishing it from the usual hex-based war game paradigm.
