NVIDIA Releases the GeForce 372.90 WHQL Game Ready Driver

NVIDIA released its latest GeForce “Game Ready” drivers. Version 372.90 WHQL drivers come game-ready for “Forza Horizon 3.” This includes optimization, and GeForce Experience optimal settings. The game release, at least to owners of the “Ultimate Edition” variant, tomorrow, on 21/09. The drivers also includes GeForce Experience 3.0, NVIDIA’s game settings optimization app, which features a revamped user-interface.

You can download the new GeForce 372.90 WHQL drivers from GeForce Experience and GeForce.com.

Zotac Sonix PCIe 480GB SSD Review

NVMe SSDs are the enthusiast topic of interest right now. The storage industry has become affordable in the SSD market, but is trending towards NVMe as a replacement. This is faster and can reach GB/s rather than MB/s. It does this by bypassing the ACHI protocol and pushes the boundaries of what basic SSDs can’t. I will be looking at a Zotac implementation of NVMe using an HHHL PCIe card at 480GB. This is Zotac’s first consumer NVMe drive, and claims speeds of up to 2600 MB/s over PCIe gen 3. Let’s see if this drive can push the limit of NVMe and stand out among its competitors.

Toshiba OCZ VX500 SSD Review

We’ve seen tremendous growth in the entry-level SATA and premium NVMe SSD segments over the last year. The middle ground has gone relatively untouched, but it is far from neglected. The mid-range has consolidated and now includes the SATA SSDs that we previously considered premium products. Toshiba’s OCZ division has historically enjoyed a lot of success in this area, and it is looking to take the segment back with the VX500.

This has led to a wide range of options for gamers to choose from but in amongst this cornucopia of choice, ASUS’ STRIX series has remained at the forefront among many potential buyers. Simply put, their cards are known for offering high performance and good overclocking headroom while remaining quiet and tastefully appointed. AMD Rolls Out the Radeon Software Crimson Edition 16.9.1

AMD has released the Radeon Software Crimson Edition 16.9.1 Beta drivers. The drivers add optimization for the DirectX 12 renderer of “Deus Ex: Mankind Divided,” and adds an AMD CrossFire profile for the DirectX 11 renderer of “DOTA 2.” The drivers also address flickering on certain 144 Hz displays, and some rare game crash bugs on “DOOM,” “Total War: Warhammer,” “DiRT Rally,” and “GTA V.”
