be-quiet-pure-power-9-cm-700-wattBy Hilbert Hagedoorn @ GURU3D

We review the new 700 Watt Pure Power 9 CM 700W Power Supply from Be Quiet! The series has been fiddled and fooled around with and comes with some new tweaks, features and hey now, is an 80 Plus Silver certified product series. AMD released a new driver with interesting fixes. Added is Need for Speed Crossfire. Originally discovered by us in the initial Ashes benchmark, the DX12 framerate locks should be fixed: DirectX 12 application frame rates are no longer locked to the refresh rate of the display panel.

NVIDIA over the weekend, released the GeForce 364.51 WHQL drivers. These drivers address a critical bug in the company’s previous WHQL-signed GeForce 364.47 WHQL driver, which causes the installer to crash the system with a BSOD/TDR error during “express” install. The bug was so severe, that it forced NVIDIA to pull the driver off its website. The rest of this driver’s feature-set appears to be consistent with that of the 364.47 WHQL.

NVIDIA today pulled its latest GeForce 364.47 WHQL drivers for shipping with a critical bug in its installers that causes Windows to crash. Users swarmed to the company’s official GeForce Forums to report the bug to NVIDIA. Among the problems included a crash each time the machine wakes up from Sleep mode. A company rep responded that NVIDIA was able to internally reproduce the issue, and was working on a solution.

NVIDIA has meanwhile pulled 364.47 WHQL from its website, and is recommending users to either clean-install an older version of the driver, such as the 362.00 WHQL, or upgrade to the newer 364.51 Beta Drivers. Version 364.51 Beta can be downloaded from here. The rest of its feature-set appears to be identical to the 364.47 WHQL.
