A new update is now live in Insurgency: Sandstorm, kicking off Operation Exodus in this first-person shooter from New World Interactive and Focus Home Interactive. This adds a new survival co-op mode, a new map, two new weapons, and more, as shown off in this trailer. All this comes as the game carries a 50% discount for the next week on Steam. Here’s word on the patch as well as an accompanying paid DLC with some new cosmetics:

In Insurgency’s new survival co-op game mode, you’ll team up and fight to stay alive while securing randomly placed objectives with limited weapon availability. The update adds the Citadel map, featuring ancient, narrow alleyways that force close-combat engagements, as well as an open area with high ground, sight lines and cover for a more tactical approach. Two free new guns have also been added to the game for all players: get your hands on the iconic Desert Eagle or the French-manufactured MR73 revolver, both available with their respective suppressors.

In addition, today’s update brings new paid cosmetic DLC: freshen up the look of your arsenal with the new Bear Claw and True Grit weapon skin sets, along with the Uprising Insurgent skin and Bad Day Security skin. Each is available to purchase individually or as part of the Exodus Set Bundle.

Matrix Games announces Broken Arrow. Broken Arrow is a large-scale real-time modern warfare tactics game. It features American and Russian factions, more than 100 units and multiple deck specialisations per nation. The game brings the genre to a whole new level by combining the complexity of a joint-forces wargame with the typical real-time tactics action-packed gameplay.

Matrix Games announces Scramble: Battle of Britain. Scramble: Battle of Britain is a simultaneous turn-based dogfighting game. Set in a 3D airspace, the game features fast-paced, tactical combat with dynamic flight physics. Each turn is divided into three phases: planning phase, action phase, and review phase. ‘Evil Twin Artworks’, the award winning indie team behind PC RTS classic, ‘Victory At Sea’, Man O’ War: Corsair and Victory At Sea Pacific has just released a major update for their latest Early Access game, Victory At Sea Ironclad.

“Since releasing Victory At Sea Ironclad, we have been asked what the weather will be like in game,” said James Carroll, Director at Evil Twin Artworks. “Now the players have to contend with adverse weather, seeing, mist and fog, rain and heavy storms. All of these affect accuracy and visibility. Not only that but we have also added the Confederate campaign. ”

Set during the American Civil War, Victory At Sea Ironclad gives the player opportunities to not only sail but take control of huge paddle steamers, they can even build and command the fearsome Ironclads of the title.

A huge Open World RTS where you play out the entire Civil War, making history with every decision made. Victory At Sea Ironclad will set sail on Steam Q1 2020 in Early Access.

The regular Ace retails for £430 and is presented in traditional black livery. Announced earlier this week, MSI debuts a Gold Edition for those looking for more board bling. Pricing is undetermined but expect a reasonable premium over the bog-standard Ace; we reckon it’ll cost closer to £500.

The Gigabyte Z590 Aorus Pro AX positions itself as a mid-range SKU with a modest (for recent motherboard generations) price of $289.99. For that price, you get the most USB ports — thirteen, including USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 Type-C port — we’ve seen on any motherboard in quite a while. Additionally, the board includes the latest audio codec, extreme overclocking-capable power delivery and four M.2 sockets. This, coupled with a reasonable price tag, yields a great option fory new Intel-based builds.
