This video demonstrates even Ubisoft’s “chief parkour officer” cannot navigate walls as shown in Assassin’s Creed games, though it does show the way the acrobatics in Assassin’s Creed Unity will be modeled on real-life action. Word is:

“Meet Michael ‘Frosti’ Zernow, Ubisoft’s first Chief Parkour Officer. Starting with Assassin’s Creed Unity, Zernow will serve as an adviser to the franchise, helping the developers ensure the parkour mechanics are as authentic and accurate as possible. In addition to assisting with game accuracy, Zernow and his team of coaches at Tempest Freerunning have helped us design a special parkour course for San Diego Comic Con. Meet Zernow and get your first look at the Assassin’s Creed Experience in the video below.”

Buzz Aldrin’s Space Program Manager gets release date.

“But why, some say, the Moon? Why choose this as our goal? And they may well ask, why climb the highest mountain? Why, 35 years ago, fly the Atlantic? ” – US President John F. Kennedy ; 1962.

On July 20th 1969, the Apollo 11 mission successfully landed. For the first time in history, human beings walked on the Moon. The conquest of space that had started a few years after the end of WWII reached its climax with a manned lunar landing. In competition with the USSR, the US gained a decisive advantage when images of Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin and their lunar exploration module were broadcast on live TV all over the world from the Sea of Tranquillity. President Kennedy won his historic gamble by landing a man on the Moon and returning him safely to the Earth before the end of the decade. A whole new era of space conquests was opened…

45 years after this extraordinary technological achievement, the Apollo 11 images still evoke strong emotions. Today, Slitherine and Polar Motion – developer of Buzz Aldrin’s Space Program Manager – commemorate this anniversary by releasing a tribute video to allow everyone to relive the Lunar landing and officially announce the game’s final release date: October 31st 2014.

In Buzz Aldrin’s Space Program Manager, you will be able to play a critical role in the space exploration programs and the race for dominance between the US and the Soviet Union in space. They will have to choose their side and run a space agency with only one goal in mind: be the first to the Moon! By managing their budget, opening programs, spending R&D funds on improving the hardware, recruiting personnel and astronauts and launching space missions, they will live an engaging and challenging space odyssey in this realistic turn based strategy game.

Buzz Aldrin’s Space Program Manager is currently available as an Early Access Program, which will be closed on August 10th 2014. After that, the game will only be available after the release date. Be sure to sign up if you want to be part of the last leg of its development!

Earlier this month we had Mean Girls and Freaky Friday star Lindsay Lohan suing Rockstar over allegedly using her likeness in Grand Theft Auto 5. Now, we have an ex-dictator suing Activision over allegedly using his likeness in Call of Duty.

Former Panamanian dictator Manuel Noriega is suing Activision over the use of his likeness in Treyarch’s first-person shooter Call of Duty: Black Ops 2.

In the game Alex Mason and Frank Woods track Noriega, codenamed False Profit by the CIA, to the outskirts of Panama City. You can see the scene in which they find him in the video, below, taken from the level Suffer With Me.

Now, 80-year-old Noriega, who lives in Panama, is suing Activision for the “blatant misuse, unlawful exploitation and misappropriation for economic gain” of his image in Black Ops 2, which came out in 2012.

In the lawsuit, filed in the Los Angeles County Superior Court and reported on by the Courthouse News Service, Noriega’s lawyers claim: “In an effort to increase the popularity and revenue generated by Black Ops 2, defendants used, without authorisation or consent, the image and likeness of plaintiff in Black Ops 2.”

Muzzy Lane Software announced today that their WWI grand strategy title Making History: The Great War will remain in development through August. The game will continue to be available to players at a discounted price as part of Steam’s Early Access program as well as here at GHQ and at Gamer’s Gate. A new release date has been scheduled for September 9th.

“We’ve been pushing very hard to meet the July 28th date for release,” says Muzzy Lane CEO Dave McCool, “But we also have committed ourselves from the start to not release the game unless we feel it’s ready to go. We feel TGW will benefit greatly from these additional weeks of polish and balancing, which are critical to getting the best player experience from a strategy title such as this.”

Muzzy Lane will continue to release regular updates throughout the extension, just as it has during the entire time the game has been in early access. The company feels confident players will support their decision. “Our community wants the same thing we do,” says McCool, “The best possible WWI strategy game. We believe this is the best choice we can make to be certain that happens.”

The current discounted price of $29.99 will remain until the time of the official release, after which the game will sell for $39.99. More information as well as community discussion of TGW is ongoing at the Steam community hub and at the game’s website.
