panzer-corps-us-corpsAll-time classic Panzer Corps is coming back with three new expansions for a total of fifty new scenarios. Each one has its own unique theatre of operations and scenarios, but all linked in a colossal branching campaign with complete unit carry over!

In U.S. Corps ’42 you start with “Operation Torch” where brave but inexperienced American “rookies” land in the sands of North Africa and join their allies. They must take the lead on several actions against the French command in Morocco and Algeria and then head eastwards, where they will face the remnants of the Italo-German army in Tunisia in a total of 16 different scenarios.

The second expansion begins the year after. In U.S. Corps ‘43 the goal is to liberate Sicily and use it as base from where to land on mainland Italy. The Allies have to overcome the resistance of the german army and open the road to Rome during another new set of 16 scenarios.

In the third and final installment of the mega campaign, U.S. Corps ’44 – ‘45, you’ll lead the largest amphibious invasion in history, and with it, the Battle of Normandy. The plan is to land on several beaches in northern France, then to push east towards Berlin and finally put an end to the war for a total of 18 original scenarios!

Interested in U.S. Corps? Then don’t miss this unique three at the price of two offer on the Slitherine store:

If you buy the three expansions together you’ll get one for free! How does it work? It’s easy! Once you add one of the expansions to your cart you will be offered to buy the other two at the discounted price of three at the price of two!

NVIDIA posted its first official driver for the GeForce GTX 1080, ahead of its retail availability from tomorrow (27/05). The new GeForce 368.25 WHQL appears to have the same feature-set and change-log as the GeForce 368.22 WHQL posted earlier this week, with the notable exception of supporting just the GeForce GTX 1080 graphics card. It should come handy for some of the earliest adopters of the retail GTX 1080 cards.

You can download the new GeForce 368.25 WHQL drivers from GeForce Experience and GeForce.com.

homefront-the-revolution-boxYou say you want The Revolution, well now you know… you probably don’t.

By  Jon Ryan, IGN

For all of its problems, 2011’s Homefront introduced an interesting Red Dawn-like concept, and revisiting post-invasion America in an open-world first-person shooter format sounded promising; but this fledgling FPS franchise has let me down again. There are some genuinely good ideas in Homefront: The Revolution, but nearly every one of them comes with a big fat “but.” While initially engaging, the stealth and shooter gameplay quickly becomes tedious, the story is terrible, and a general lack of polish means Homefront: The Revolution fails to make finishing its 20-hour campaign feel worthwhile.

Today’s SSD market is a crowded place with plenty of options for everyone but there is a sense of stagnation within it as well. While there’s no better time to be looking for a mid-range drive, the high end has been largely unmoved due to a lack of suitable interfaces. Motherboard manufacturers put their eggs in the SATA Express basket but thus far the actual storage manufacturers themselves have shunned that standard and have moved beyond SATA completely. First it was Intel’s 750 series, then Samsung’s 950 Pro, and now OCZ and by extension Toshiba are planting their feet in the NVMe space with the new RD400 series.
