The Battlefield Website now tells us we can tune in for a reveal stream for Battlefield V on May 23 at 1 PM PT / 4 PM ET / 10 PM CET, confirming a revelation last week discovered through an Easter egg. This page has more details on the livestream reveal of the military shooter, saying it will be hosted by comedian Trevor Noah, host of The Daily Show and that the festivities get underway at 4:00 pm EDT on Mixer, Twitch, and YouTube. Trevor Noah offers his thoughts on Instagram, where he says that he considers himself a gamer first and foremost. To further whet our appetites, Electronic Arts and DICE offer this post with 10 things to expect from the reveal. This includes word to expect a new setting, so maybe a little War of 1812 action? We shall see. Here’s the post:

Metro Exodus was originally set to be released in Autumn of this year. However, Deep Silver and 4A Games recently announced that the game has been delayed until the first quarter of 2019. They want to continue polishing the game to deliver the best user experience possible. In Metro Exodus, the player takes control of Artyom and must lead a band of Spartan Rangers across a hostile, post-apocalyptic Russia to search for greener pastures in the East. Earlier this year, 4A Games also announced their collaboration with NVIDIA to feature the company’s RTX real-time ray tracing technology in Metro Exodus. We’ll get to see it in action at E3 this year as both Deep Silver and 4A games have confirmed that they will be releasing some new gameplay of the game at the venue.

The development of Metro Exodus is progressing well; we are all really excited by what we are seeing. We have been constantly reviewing the games progress to ensure that we deliver a product that gamers and fans of the Metro series want and deserve, as well as keeping an eye on announcements from our competitor products. Age of Belisarius expands Field of Glory II forwards from the fall of the Western Roman Empire in 476 AD to 600 AD, a period when the Eastern Roman (Byzantine) army transformed itself from a mainly infantry force to a cavalry army in response to the threats it faced.

You can be part of the flowering of the new “barbarian” kingdoms that replaced the Roman Empire in the west, and the conflict between them. You can play a major role in the resurgence of the Eastern Roman (Byzantine) Empire and the reconquest by the Emperor Justinian I’s generals, especially Belisarius and later Narses, of the Vandal kingdom of Africa, the Ostrogothic kingdom of Italy and part of the Visigothic kingdom of Spain.

You can take part in the almost continuous warfare between the Byzantines and the Sassanid Persians in the East, and the Sassanids’ own troubles with their eastern neighbours, the Hephthalites and the Göktürks. You can lead the Avars to conquer a mighty empire north of the Danube, and to threaten the very existence of the Byzantine Empire – or you can defend against them.

Legendary Zero pilot Saburo Sakai was Japan’s most recognized ace, but few knew the man behind the legend

Saburo Sakai is probably Japan’s best-known pilot of World War II, with the possible exception of Captain Mitsuo Fuchida of Pearl Harbor infamy. In a seven-year combat career, Sakai survived horrible injuries and impossible odds, and almost got a chance to kill Lyndon Baines Johnson. The fact that Sakai never made a combat launch from an aircraft carrier in no way detracts from his significance as a naval aviator and Japan’s third-ranking fighter ace.
