More than a cockpit experience, the game also allows players to command the wider air war as an AWACS controller—overseeing the entire theatre, directing allied aircraft, observing every engagement in real time, and instantly jumping into the cockpit of any F-22 when the situation demands it.

Aces of Thunder allows the players to fly a selection of legendary aircraft from World War II, including Mustang, Bf 109, Fw 190, Yak‑9T, IL‑2, A6M3 Zero, as well as Great War icons like the Fokker Dr.I and SPAD S.XIII. All these aircraft feature authentic flight and damage models, with highly detailed cockpits and armament, and are available right from the start.

Online battles take the players to key theaters of war, from Western and Eastern Europe to the Pacific across 15 atmospheric maps. Engage in intense online duels against pilots from around the world, play through the “War Tales” campaign, or hone your skills in single player missions, inspecting your aircraft in the hangar between sorties. MicroProse has announced that the MicroProse B-17G for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is now available on the official Microsoft Flight Simulator Marketplace for PC and Xbox.

The B-17G brings the iconic Flying Fortress to the Marketplace ecosystem, making it easier than ever for sim pilots on both platforms to purchase, install, and fly directly through Microsoft’s platform.

If you’ve been following development, you may know the initial plan was to bring the B-17G to a more mature state before releasing an Xbox version. After assessing the aircraft’s current status on console, MicroProse decided it didn’t make sense to delay the release. The B-17G is therefore launching on both PC and Xbox at the same time, with updates delivered to both versions going forward.

To thank the community for its patience, and since the company was unable to release the B-17G in Early Access on the Microsoft Flight Simulator Marketplace, MicroProse is offering a time-limited launch discount during the first week. For one week only, the price will be reduced from USD $39.99 to USD $33.49.

Battlefield Studios announced today an extension of Battlefield 6 and Battlefield REDSEC first season, will include new weekly challenges, a Bonus Path, and a continuation of the Season 1 Battle Pass.

The first season will now run until the launch of Season 2 on February 17, with the Season 1 extension update being released on January 20. This revised launch has been implemented to allow extra time to further develop and refine Season 2 as a result of community feedback.

Available on January 27, the Frostfire Bonus Path gives players the chance to unlock new free and premium customization rewards, including a Weapon Package and a Soldier Skin, as well as XP Boosts, by advancing through the tiers of the Frostfire Bonus Path. Premium Tier Rewards require purchase of the Season 1 Battle Pass.

Free rewards from the Frostfire Bonus Path will include a Hardware XP Boost, a Vehicle Skin and playercard customization items, while Battle Pass owners can grab a new Weapon Package, a Career XP Boost and additional customization items.

The Frostfire Bonus Path can be completed concurrently alongside the Season 1 Battle Pass. Players do not need to choose to make progress between a Season 1 Battle Pass Path – i.e. Rogue Ops, Soldiers Of Fortune – and the Frostfire Bonus Path. Each Bonus Path Tier requires 10 Bonus Path Points to unlock, with a total of 110 Bonus Path points required to fully complete the Bonus Path. Unlike previous Bonus Paths, all Bonus Path Points for the Frostfire Bonus Path are earned through Weekly Challenges; there are no Bonus Challenges associated with this Bonus Path.

Later this update, love is a battlefield as the team will be celebrating Valentine’s Day. Another set of Daily Login Rewards will be introduced, alongside several Double XP Weekends throughout the update period.
