After being one of the most played demos of the entire Steam Next Fest, we at Firefly Studios are today announcing that Stronghold 4 will now be launching on April 20th 2027.

The aim had always been to launch into Early Access with as much polished content as possible, so this extended window allows the studio more time to add to the public EA version of the game and then incorporate that new feedback from that into version 1.0.

By launching on April 20th, Stronghold 4 players will receive everything intended for the original release date such as a full story campaign, custom skirmish mode, a skirmish trail and Free Build but also included now is the economic campaign, quality of life improvements and additional essential polish.

So on top of ensuring that the EA release is as content rich and polished as possible, this extra time allows the team to properly showcase all the new and cool aspects of the game, such as medieval siegecraft, villages, weather and more!

If you haven’t already, march through the new Skirmish/Free Build demo, shape the game with your feedback and prepare to return to the lush green roots of Stronghold in April 2027!
