Official mod tools for Total War: Attila are available now. The new Assembly Kit can be downloaded as a beta via the Tools menu in ATTILA owners’ Steam Library, and will be immediately familiar to modders of SHOGUN II and ROME II. The most extensive Assembly Kit yet offers the following tools:

  • DaVE: enables editing of the game’s database entries.
  • BOB: enables processing of raw data such as textures, models and animations.
  • TeD: enables the creation of individual battlefields for land, sea and sieges.

In order to get the most from the tools, a Terrain Raw Data resource pack has also been made available, featuring 60Gb of in-game production data for modders to work with.

brother-against-brother-box“The art of war is simple enough. Find out where your enemy is. Get at him as soon as you can. Strike him as hard as you can, and keep moving on.” (Ulysses S. Grant, Union General)

Today you have the chance to rewrite the opening battles of the American Civil War with the official release of Brother against Brother: The Drawing of the Sword!

Thanks to years of primary research and unique access to some materials previously unavailable to game-designers, the latest wargame from developer Western Civilization Software offers an incredible level of detail and accuracy: battlefields, units, weapons and orders of battle have been recreated with a rare passion. Only the ones who are able to coordinate the movements of their divisions and maintain cohesion at every level of their army will have the chance to avoid seeing their men retreating from the battlefield!

Rediscover the battle maps and histories of the famous early encounters (1st Manassas, Wilson’s Creek, Mill Springs and Williamsburg) that were the source of inspiration of the 25 scenarios available in the game from the official product page of Brother against Brother: The Drawing of the Sword!!

The game comes updated to Version 1.0.1 (see changes here) and with over 200 PDF pages manual! For Free!

Matrix Games has announced the release of the version 1.0.5 patch for the definitive grand strategy game Civil War II. A significant number of changes and improvements are brought to you upgrading the game to make it even more historically accurate: neutral Indians are passive (should stop them from besieging or interfering with USA/CSA units) and leaders of different nations, for the same side, don’t compete in the same chain of command anymore!

Download this update now and improve turn resolution speed by at least 50%!

Be sure to check the entire changelog here.

You can download the patch from here.
