Enlist your very own in-game action hero

While Steven Seagal may have had a complicated relationship with warships in the past, he’s learned a thing or two about them. Now, he is braving the seas of World of Warships, letting players earn him as an in-game Commander for their vessel in a unique event.

However, Steven Seagal won’t command just any old ship. In the event, which begins November 1 and lasts until December 14, you need to prove that you are a worthy action hero. When you are at Account Level 10, your final trial awaits in the form of a special mission: amass 70,000 XP in Random, Ranked, Team, or Co-op battles. Once you’ve smashed through that milestone, Steven Seagal will be enlisted into your crew.

Just think of what you could accomplish with his husky voice; his decades of battle experience; his quiet, confident aura that would echo through the decks of your ship? With Steven at your side, you could become more powerful than you ever thought possible. You could be the next great action hero.

For King and Country, Paradox announces Together for Victory

When the fires of war erupt and your nation is under siege from the greatest war machine the world has ever seen, it is good to know that you are standing shoulder to shoulder with your brothers and sisters around the world. Together for Victory, the first expansion for Paradox Development Studio’s World War II game Hearts of Iron IV (PEGI 7), shines a bright light on the British dominions and colonies that rallied around the flag in England’s darkest hour.

The centerpiece of Together for Victory is a set of new National Focus trees for five subjects of the British crown: Australia, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa and the British Raj in India. Make history with appropriate technology or alternate history paths, as well as new portraits, new leaders and new companies for the Dominions. Together for Victory is the first step in a process that Paradox hopes will tell the story of every nation in the great conflict.

MSI today releases a new GeForce GTX 1070, the Quick Silver OC edition sits in the Gaming series of products. Basically this GeForce GTX 1070 is a Gaming X model in a different jacket. This GTX 1070 has been fitted with Micron GDDR5 memory, as such we’ll put tweaking stability to the test with the new BIOS. Next to that we upgraded our software suite and added game benchmarks with games like Battlefield 1, Deus Ex, Mafia III and Gears of War 4.

Obsidian Entertainment and global publisher My.com, have released the new Global Operations mode for Armored Warfare. Global Operations is an exciting new approach to the tank genre, fusing PvE and PvP game modes together in a unique and explosive mix. Teams of tank commanders will not only compete against each other, but can now capture tactical bonuses that give their team a strategic edge over their adversaries. These tactical Wildcards modernize the theatre of war by adding surveillance drones, stealth bombers, and deployable anti-tank turrets functioning as support for either team. Global Operations is played on Desert Crossing, the largest map the game has ever introduced, which features game changing weather effects like a sandstorm that limits the player’s view range.

One important new feature in the Global Operations mode released with the update 0.18 is the option to deploy Wildcards. These are special abilities that, based on their use, can have a major effect on the course of battle.

• The Recon UAV represents a Predator drone that circles over a certain area, spotting all enemy units within its view range.
• The Airstrike Wildcard consists of a B2 Spirit bomber that rains hell in a limited area on the map, selected by the player who managed to capture it.
• This Wildcard allows the players to deploy a series of 3 pillboxes, which fire anti-tank missiles into eight pre-determined positions on the map.

An Ancient Evil Haunts the Transylvania!

“Looks like you’ve wandered far off course, mortal. Here in these dark waters lie sinister forces mankind cannot imagine . Are you prepared to face a barrage of fire and brimstone? Can you weather the assault of the abyssal vessels? We’ll find out soon enough, won’t we?”

In Saving Transylvania, you control one of three otherworldly warships placed in your port for the duration of the event: the destroyer Blade, the battleship Jackal, and the cruiser Igor. Together, they must escort the Transylvania to the arcane portal that brings them all to safety. Unfortunately, they’ll have to fend off Zikasa battleships and hellfire-slinging catapults led by the mysterious Rasputin, determined to destroy the Transylvania and her escorts!

The goal is simple: Get Transylvania to the portal before she’s destroyed!

Night Witches Racing Events, Store Discounts and Enchanted Tanks for Halloween & Fourth Anniversary Events

For Halloween, Gaijin Entertainment is celebrating the fourth anniversary of War Thunder’s launch with prizes, events, discounts and competitions.

Halloween specials are running from October 28th through November 2nd. Pilots and tankers can take part in special racing events; pilots can take the helm of the infamous soviet night bomber, the Polikarpov Po-2 of the ‘Night Witches’ squadron, as they race for first place, evading opponent turret fire. Similarly, fans of ground forces can race to the Sepulchre in an enchanted M18 Hellcat tank, operating without a commander or crew. Successful racers are rewarded with a Witches’ Cauldron, yielding unique decorative items such as pumpkins and witches hats that you can adorn your vehicle with, as well as boosters that improve earnings.

Festivities will include discounts of up to 50% on vehicles, premium accounts, modifications and other in-game items. Players can look forward to new events, promotions and discounts every day culminating in a great two-day celebration of War Thunder’s fourth anniversary on November 1st and 2nd. No fan of War Thunder should miss this!

Flashpoint Campaigns: Red Storm gets one final polish as the team jumps headlong into development work on Southern Storm! Version 2.0.11 is availble and it brings tons of improvements to this masterpiece! Among all now is possible to turn Radio Messages on/off, new and improved Red Storm maps, and Radio Intercept Icon is ready and functional!

Other improvements featured are the following:

• New Intel panels from our custom Origins build and the scenarios we used at this year’s Origins Game Fair to do the Army Staff Training Exercises.
• Many AI enhancements and bug fixes for pathing, attacking, and grouping of AI led forces.
• A major boost to game speed from code optimization work. Should really be seen in larger scenarios.
• Several UI fixes and improvements to better show information.
