wolfenstein2-the-new-colossusBethesda.net has released a new Gunning For Freedom trailer (NSFW) from Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus. Developed by the award-winning team at MachineGames, Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus sends you to Nazi-controlled America where you’ll embark on an exhilarating adventure to free the world from the evil empire’s stranglehold.

MachineGames isn’t just known for their strong storytelling. They’re also a powerhouse in the realm of pure gameplay. And their latest game is no different. Announced at the Bethesda E3 2017 Showcase, Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus delivers the goods when it comes to intense – and intensely fun – shooter action.

What really puts MachineGames on the map is that while we’re making really strong narrative games, we give enough room to have the proper gameplay experience,” says Senior Game Designer Arcade Berg. “It’s not that one is overpowering the other.

From upgraded weapons to enhanced dual-wielding to bumped-up Nazi enemies, watch our latest video – with exclusive insights from the development team – for a first look at what’s new in The New Colossus.

While the gameplay has been taken to the next level for the latest chapter in BJ Blazkowicz’s saga, the goal remains the same: Obliterate the abhorrent Nazi regime. Which, of course, is all the motivation you’ll need to rally the resistance and liberate America. “They’re the perfect enemy,” says Executive Producer Jerk Gustafsson. “I mean, who doesn’t want to kill Nazis?

But even with the futuristic technology and over-the-top action, The New Colossus will still make you feel like a real-world hero. “No matter how crazy things get, you are always emotionally invested in what you’re doing,” says Creative Director Jens Matthies. “For this game, our theme was catharsis. So at the end of it, I think you will be ready to go out on the streets and start a revolution.

nixeus-edg-27-ips-freesync-monitorBy Marco Chiappetta @ Hot Hardware

Los Angeles-based Nixeus has been working with AMD on FreeSync since the project’s inception. Nixeus was among the first companies to offer an affordable, Full-HD FreeSync monitor with a wide adaptive-sync frequency range and one of Nixeus’ monitors was used in AMD’s initial FreeSync demos all the way back in 2014. Now the company is readying a brand-new FreeSync-compatible display, the Nixeus EDG 27, that features an IPS panel, 2560×1440 WQHD resolution, and a price point that undercuts competing offerings.

call-of-duty-wwiiBy Chloi Rad @ IGN

Call of Duty: WW2’s return to its historical roots is not just a sudden change of scenery for the more recently high-tech franchise — it’s also a return to a more grounded kind of shooter in general. The advanced weaponry and enhanced mobility mechanics of the series’ last handful of games are obviously gone in favor of period-appropriate firearms and movement that doesn’t get much fancier than vaulting over cover.

But Call of Duty: WW2 seems to be doing a bit more to magnify your character’s vulnerability in its single-player campaign, based on the 15-20 minute hands-off preview I saw at E3 2017. Those looking for the type of power fantasy offered by Advanced Warfare might not get the same kick out of crawling through the mud and having bell towers crumble down on you and your teammates, but it seems there are still plenty of big, cinematic set pieces to keep the experience as thrilling — just in new ways. Whether or not that’s compatible with the “authentic” World War experience its creative directors seem to be aiming for is another story. Then again, how many of us are looking for a touching, meaningful meditation on war’s atrocities from a series known for its action flick-style bombast?

escape-from-tarkov-logoDeveloper Battlestate Games announced today that a new feature for Escape from Tarkov called ‘The Hideout’ will be available during open beta testing in Fall 2017. The process of escaping from Tarkov is not as quick as it may appear from the outside- players will need a place to settle down to gain strength, store supplies, and stash discovered gear and weapons. Players must readjust utilizing ‘The Hideout’ features and resources before setting out to achieve the main goal of the game.

Players begin the construction of their ‘Hideout’ from the ground up. Initially discovered as an abandoned, cluttered bomb shelter without any means of sustaining life, players must continually build and improve aspects of ‘The Hideout’ modules, including: the power generator, water collection system, ventilation, medical treatment facility, recon center, heating, bathroom and other areas. Players will work to improve various parameters of their characters, such as: out-of-raid health, hydration and energy regeneration speed. Players will also gets special opportunities for the production of medicines, ammunition, and other items from various resources. Recon center improvements provide new opportunities of working with merchants and playing as Scavs, and much more.

There are 13 different ‘Hideout’ modules in production, and each will have unique bonuses, and require a unique scheme for building. Players will need different resources, access to a variety of merchants and necessary skill levels to unlock the module installation capabilities and the possibilities for their improvement.

The first thing players need to install in their ‘Hideout’ is the generator. Without proper fuel, production and regeneration of items will be slowed or disrupted. It should also be noted that the size of the cache will directly depend on the level of ‘Hideout’ cache. Players with an Escape from Tarkov Limited Edition copy will receive the cache of maximum, which is third level.

In addition to the basic modules of ‘The Hideout’, players can install elite modules that drastically improve living standards and security, accelerate skills leveling, allow production of unique items and resources, and add comfort to your new home. There also is a full-fledged shooting range where players can test their weapons.

The Hideout’ will be an integral part of the game and the out-of-raid processes that characters experience, such as restoring health, size of caches, access to new services of merchants, objects research and events in the world of Escape from Tarkov.

The Hideout’ feature is being developed in parallel and independently from the main course of the company and will launch during open beta testing in Fall 2017.

Escape from Tarkov is a hardcore story-driven MMO featuring elements of FPS and RPG. The events take place in the Russian city of Tarkov, which has been sealed off by roadblocks and sunk into the chaos of local warfare between private military companies. Escape from Tarkov’s Hazardous Environment Combat Simulator employs a number of custom system modules to create incredibly immersive gameplay that allows players to feel the reality of what is happening in the game.

The closed beta-testing of Escape from Tarkov is planned for Summer 2017. More about Escape from Tarkov can be found at the games official website.

Players can get a chance for access to Escape from Tarkov testing stages by placing a pre-order on the official website.
