Enlisted “Off-road Patrol” Update Now Available

enlistedThe “Off-road Patrol” update introduces new type of military vehicles, enhanced combat effects and advanced ray tracing features

Darkflow Software and Gaijin Entertainment announce that “Off-road Patrol”, the latest major content update for the online military shooter Enlisted, is available now. The update introduces a new type of combat vehicle to the game: fast off-road vehicles armed with machine guns and capable of carrying soldiers and extra grenade supplies directly into battle. It also adds new weapons and aircraft, significantly improves combat effects and melee animations, and brings major graphical upgrades including new ray tracing features.

Each of Enlisted’s armies receives a new researchable off-road squad: the Soviet GAZ-64 DS-39, German Kübelwagen 82, Japanese Type 95 Kurogane and American Willys M1919A4. These lightweight vehicles combine speed with mounted machine-gun firepower and can capture control points without their crews having to dismount. They also carry boxes with additional grenades, allowing their squads to quickly reinforce infantry fighting around an objective.

The update expands the arsenals of the participating nations as well. Japan receives the *G4M1, the country’s most widely produced bomber of World War II, armed with four 250 kg bombs and an array of defensive machine guns and a 20 mm cannon. The United States gets the Lewis Gun Home Guard, an unusual version of the famous machine gun equipped with a 97-round magazine and anti-aircraft sight. New premium squads include a Soviet P-39Q-15 Airacobra supplied under the Lend-Lease program, Japanese soldiers armed with the exotic IJN 80 mm anti-tank launcher, as well as special combat variants of the Willys and Kübelwagen for USA and Germany respectively.

“Off-road Patrol” also brings a major graphics technology upgrade. Path Traced Global Illumination is now available on PC for compatible systems, providing more physically accurate indirect lighting. New ray tracing quality presets have been introduced on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Pro and Xbox Series X.

Battles are also becoming more spectacular and physically convincing. Hits from large-caliber weapons have received new visual effects, powerful explosions can throw nearby soldiers through the air, and spent shell casings can now realistically bounce off surrounding surfaces. Vehicle destruction effects have been reworked, while melee combat features improved bayonet charges, knife attacks, rifle-butt strikes and punches, including new animations designed specifically for attacks from a prone position.
