Gallipoli launches later this year on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S
BlackMill Games, creators of the historically grounded FPS WW1 Game Series, today revealed new footage from their game Gallipoli during IGN Fan Fest, highlighting the Siege of Kut Al Amara, one of the most significant battles on the Ottoman fronts of WW1.

Siege of Kut Al Amara
Developed with BlackMill’s signature commitment to historical authenticity, the Kut Al Amara campaign brings the siege to life across a battlefield that transitions from open desert warfare into dense urban combat. Players can fight from sun-scorched dunes and trench networks toward the town itself, battling through key strongholds such as the British “Mud Fort”, palm-lined approaches along the Tigris, and the narrow streets of Kut’s bazaar district.
Some of the new weapons coming to Gallipoli
The Arsenal found on the Ottoman Fronts often saw older weapons pushed back into service. Some of these were considered dated even by 1915, but in war necessity will always prevail. The American-made Peabody-Martini M1874 returned to the battlefield and saw service with many Ottoman troops, while the Hotchkiss Portative Mk.I provided mobile firepower much like the famous Lewis Gun, an icon of the fighting of the Great War.
Gallipoli aims to deliver large-scale, squad-based multiplayer combat set across the deserts, trench networks and defensive strongholds of Lower Mesopotamia. As the next standalone entry in the WW1 Game Series, Gallipoli expands on the franchise’s historically grounded first-person shooter gameplay, allowing players to fight as soldiers of the British Empire or Ottoman forces.
