Ubisoft has announced that Assassin’s Creed: Rogue, the latest installment of the Assassin’s Creed franchise lead by the Ubisoft Sofia studio, is now available for Windows PC.

Developed by Ubisoft Sofia, in collaboration with Ubisoft’s Singapore, Montreal, Quebec, Chengdu, Milan and Bucharest studios, Assassin’s Creed: Rogue takes players to new adventures set in the mid-18th century during the Seven Years War. Starting in 1752, players follow Shay Patrick Cormac, a former member of the Brotherhood who turned into an Assassin Hunter and experience the Assassin’s Creed universe through the eyes of a Templar. Assassin’s Creed: Rogue gives players new locations across North America to explore, including the frozen North Atlantic, the Appalachian River Valley and New York. Assassin’s Creed: Rogue for Windows PC has been adapted by Ubisoft Kiev.

The Assassin’s Creed: Rogue PC development team in Kiev has partnered with Tobii Tech to incorporate eye tracking input as part of the gameplay. With Assassin’s Creed: Rogue being the first game of this scale to incorporate this technology, players will be immersed in the Assassin’s Creed universe thanks in part to the “infinite screen” experience the Tobii Tech will provide.

A Collector’s Bundle is available for Assassin’s Creed: Rogue PC exclusively on Uplay Shop. It includes a collector’s box, an art book, 3 lithographs in an envelope and the original game soundtrack. Players will also get access to two extra single player quests and additional in-game items.

Assassin’s Creed: Rogue for Windows PC is available for purchase from uPlay, Steam, Game, Amazon and selected game retailers.

Wargaming is excited to announce that preparations are underway for the World of Warships Closed Beta, which will begin on March 12. Applications open for Europe at 11:00 CET, North America at 11:00 PST, and Asia at 17:00 SGT. During the test, players will dive into online naval battles, sharing their feedback with the development team to improve the experience.

Held in December 2014 and January 2015, the two World of Warships Beta Test Weekends attracted over 75,000 users. Boasting 15,000 concurrent players, there were an average of 60 battle sessions played by each tester in only four days.
In the upcoming Closed Beta, players will have access to five original maps, taking them on a journey through arctic oceans to tropical archipelagos. On their voyage, 50 U.S. and Japanese warships are available for players to challenge the seas and enemy ships.

Both nation’s cruisers are great, nimble vessels that have the upper hand against enemy destroyers, and even deal a significant blow to ships of the same class. Japanese battleships are fierce attacking ships, which, thanks to their thick armor, can also offer other vessels on their team excellent cover. Destroyers from both nations are perhaps the most maneuverable of ships, and are perfect for scouting, offering backup, and carrying out deadly torpedo strikes. The fourth and final class are aircraft carriers, initially represented by American warships. These types of ships are unmatched at attacking the enemy and providing reconnaissance—ideal for the more tactical player.

Crews (represented by warships commanders) play an integral role in gameplay. With each level, Commanders gain points that can be spent on a variety of skills divided into several ranks and categories. Players can choose to improve the Commander to best suit their play style from increasing a ship’s resistance to certain damage to decreased reloading times.

In addition to personnel training, Modernizations allow players to develop a ship’s combat capability. There are numerous Modernizations available, such as increasing a weapon’s durability or ship’s resilience to fire and flooding.
For those that enjoy working together as a team to conquer the seas, they can join forces with two other players in Divisions.

In the future, World of Warships will add Japanese aircraft carriers and U.S. battleships. Achievements for many accomplishments in battle as well as customization options will also be introduced to the game.

Free EU4 Add-on Brings the Great Women of History

The pages of history books are filled with the stories of great men – but also great women: artists, authors, councilors, and rulers. Would Tenochtitlan have fallen without the language skills of Malinche guiding Cortez? Had the reign of Edward IV not been cut short by illness, would England have still ruled the seas, deprived of the strong hand of Elizabeth I?

To mark International Women’s Day (March 8th) Paradox Development Studio has created a free update for Europa Universalis IV, adding 100 great women of history to the game. Each character can be generated through event triggers (a weak regency, a colonial empire, certain ideas, etc.). Players will then have choices about how to use this talented woman. Some may join your court as advisors, some might be suitable for riskier employment as rulers or leaders.
Thomas Johansson, the head of Paradox Development Studio, says that this DLC does something important for the company’s flagship title.

“It’s no surprise that the role of women in history isn’t as well known as that of men,” Johansson says. “Europa Universalis, admittedly, hasn’t done a lot to foreground their contributions. We thought that International Women’s Day was the best time to do a little bit to help balance the scales and introduce our audience to some very interesting people.”

The Women’s History DLC is free for all Europa Universalis IV players and will be available on March 8th, 2015. The full changelog is available HERE.

Over the course of the last few months, Logitech has been revamping its “Gaming” lineup of peripherals, among which it released three new mice – the G302 Daedalus Prime, the G402 Hyperion Fury, and the G502 Proteus Core. Each of these mice had their own points that made them great, but there was a specific combination that gamers were still craving. This combination is the shape and switches of the G302, the sensor of the G502, and RGB lighting, or so claims Logitech. To answer the call, Logitech built the G303 Daedalus Apex. We had a chance to spend some time with a unit before launch.

The Carbide series of PC cases from Corsair have been updated with the budget 100R and 100R Silent, Corsair markets the product being entry-level, and with a 50 to 60 USD price tag, we can not argue on that. These chassis remain to be good looking but really are feature rich products. Keywords here would be a dark design chassis, tool free, decent space and nice airflow with the help of a small fan controller.
