Finalize the Caribbean Crisis with a new special operation, new vehicles, map and more

My.com calls all tank commanders of Armored Warfare to a vicious fight for survival in the tropics. With the final mission available in the ‘Caribbean Crisis – Part II’ update for PC, players can now conclude the first Special Operations story arc. Changing allegiances, explosive action and all new unlockable achievements await those engaging in the final story mission. The update introduces a range of lethal vehicles capable of taking out targets quick and silently which are sold to players by a brand-new dealer in the game.

The introduction of dealer Oscar Faraday, a gentlemanly yet dangerous former special agent, brings a new commander and a host of new finesse-based light tanks. From the Rooikat, a potent and deadly scout, to the Sprut-SD, an agile, if thinly armored, tracked vehicle with a powerful gun, players will be able to earn a new stable of tanks through achievement-focused tasks. Beyond this, the new update includes the addition of the VT-4, a powerful modern Chinese export MBT. Armed with a 125mm smoothbore gun, the might of this Tier-8 vehicle makes it a must have for veteran collectors.

In addition to the new vehicles in Armored Warfare, the update brings a brand-new map for Global Operations. Set in the narrow gorges of Switzerland surrounded by titanic mountains, the Alpine Valley provides a challenging terrain for armored vehicle operations, but nothing too difficult our battle-hardened commanders. War has come to this valley and players must root out the enemy and control this strategic location for their client.

rainbowsix-siege-logoTwo new Operators and an entirely new game mode are now available in Rainbow Six: Siege on all platforms. The Operators, Finka and Lion, bring new gadgets with the power to affect their allies and enemies no matter where they are on the map. These abilities are set to shake things up in competitive multiplayer, but they can also be used to great effect in Outbreak. In this limited-time co-op event, teams of up to three players face off against hordes of deadly enemies mutated by an alien parasite in order to discover the truth behind the infestation.

The Operation Chimera Operators are available now for Year 3 Season Pass holders, and in seven days, they will become available for purchase in-game using Renown or R6 Credits. Outbreak is available for free to all Siege owners from March 6 to April 3.

This marks the beginning of Year 3 for Rainbow Six: Siege, a year which will bring more new Operators, maps, and game updates. Going forward, players who own or purchase the Standard, Advanced, Gold, or Complete editions of the game will no longer have to pay Renown to unlock attachments or any of the original 20 Operators. Additionally, players who purchase the PC-only Starter Edition will get more Operators unlocked from the get-go, with a total of six Operators (randomly unlocked from a selection of 10) instead of four.

High-end PC chassis are all well and good, but manufacturers understand that sub-£100 models are essential if you plan to ship boxes in meaningful quantity. Corsair has played on that fact with an entire line of affordable Carbide Series enclosures promising “high-end features you need, and nothing you don’t.”

The latest entrant to the range, and successor to the 2016 270R, is the Carbide Series 275R, starting at £65. We have the tempered glass version, costing £75 ($79.99 USD), in for review today.

battlefield-5Source: VentureBeat

Just like World War I got a sequel, Battlefield 1 is getting a followup later this year. The game is Battlefield V. It was previously known as Battlefield 2 internally at EA. Battlefield V will return the series to World War II in a main entry for the first time since 2009’s Battlefield 1943, GamesBeat has learned from sources familiar with EA’s plans. These sources wish to remain anonymous.

Battlefield I is a huge success for EA. It sold faster than Battlefield 4, and it has surpassed 25 million players as of December. Fans were excited to return to a historical setting after years of modern military shooters from both Battlefield and competitors such as Call of Duty. Publisher Activision also showed that the appetite for the second World War is still high with its release of Call of Duty: WWII last year. That is the best-selling Call of Duty since the franchise peaked with Black Ops II in 2012.

This is an entirely new Battlefield game and not a remaster of the 2005 Battlefield 2. EA will reveal it soon, and it will launch it before the end of this calendar year.

call-of-duty-wwiiHighly-Anticipated First DLC Pack Now Available on Xbox One and PC Offering Fans New Multiplayer Maps, War Mode Mission and Nazi Zombies Experience

Xbox One and PC players can join the Resistance starting today, as Call of Duty: WWII – The Resistance is out now. Packed with new multiplayer content, The Resistance DLC pack delivers three new Multiplayer maps and an all-new War Mode multiplayer mission themed to reflect the spirit of the citizen soldiers who fought for freedom during World War II. The DLC pack also features The Darkest Shore, the terrifying new chapter in the twisted Nazi Zombies saga.

In The Resistance DLC pack, players will fight in iconic World War II locations, from Paris to Prague, all centered around historic uprisings in three new Multiplayer maps and an all-new high-octane War Mode map.

  • Valkyrie – Located in the Masurian Woods, East Prussia, this map was inspired by The Wolf’s Lair – The Fuhrer’s Eastern-front headquarters during Operation Barbarossa – the Nazi invasion of the Soviet Union. This is a medium-sized map with multiple overwatch positions and mounted machine guns.
  • Anthropoid – Based in Prague, Czechoslovakia, this map is inspired by Operation Anthropoid – the famous assassination attempt on a high-ranking German officer during World War II. This map is divided by a river, with long-flanking paths that can be used by snipers for ranged attacks.
  • Occupation – In this remake of a classic Call of Duty® map, players battle through the streets and shops of German-occupied Paris during WWII. Nearby homes and storefronts lend defensive positions for ambush and recovery.
  • Operation Intercept – Outside of St Lo, France, the next War Mode experience, developed in partnership with Raven Software, leads you on an urban rescue mission to save Resistance fighters being transported by train. The first objective on the Allied side is freeing the fighters, followed by the destruction of key communication equipment, and ends with stopping a train.

The Resistance DLC pack also features the newest horror-filled chapter in the co-operative Nazi Zombies saga, The Darkest Shore. Only days after the horrific disaster of Mittelburg, the crew has received intel that suggests Doktor Straub is on an island just north of Germany. Blanketed in fog, this island is surrounded by enemy air and sea power – and crawling with the Undead. Marie, Drostan, Olivia and Jefferson will need to battle all this and more to uncover the mysteries hidden within.

Call of Duty: WWII is available on disc at a number of retailers, digital download via Steam, or at the Call of Duty: WWII  official website.
