Conquer the Stars: Master of Orion Free for World of Tanks Players!

World of Tanks invites players to complete one simple battle mission to earn access to the full single player version of Master of Orion for Free!

World of Tanks today invites commanders to rediscover the legendary Master of Orion universe – gifting access to the iconic 4X strategy game to any player who completes one simple battle mission in World of Tanks!

In order to take the fight to outer-space, players need only complete a simple battle mission in World of Tanks Random Battles (including Grand Battles) between April 9 and April 23, using any tier. Once these are complete, players will be able to download Master of Orion, with all races and single player mode unlocked, downloadable via the Wargaming.net Game Center. Commanders will also receive unique Master of Orion customizations for their World of Tanks vehicles as a reward!

Diehard fans of the initial titles will be relieved to know that this revival was built under the watchful eyes of the original development team – and has retained its unique interstellar warfare and beautiful exploration. Players are invited to experience a fully orchestrated score as they confront hostile civilizations, negotiate with mysterious aliens, share knowledge with allies and uncover this artfully imagined universe.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Season Three Begins

Season Three for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is now live, offering new content and rewards for players of the military shooter and Call of Duty: Warzone, its free-to-play battle royale spin-off. Here’s a new trailer showing off the accompanying battle pass. Here are all the details:

Season Three is now available across the Modern Warfare Universe, giving all Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare® and Call of Duty: Warzone players access to a new season packed with free, new content and experiences. The new Season Three is packed with new maps, modes, weapons, Operators, Vehicle Skins, cosmetics and more to continuously fuel the fun for both Modern Warfare and Warzone. Order of Battle: Red Steel Available for Pre-order

Set between January 1942 and April 1943, Red Steel covers the battles of the Soviet Union in the most crucial moment of World War II. After slowing down Operation Barbarossa, the Red Army has launched a series of counter-offensives during the winter. Losses in terms of men and materials are horrendous on both sides. The German high command has a new ambitious plan to renew its offensive with the coming spring. Can you stop the Wehrmacht and save the Motherland?

Red Steel is the second DLC of the Soviet trilogy for Order of Battle, and players can import their savegame from the previous DLC, Red Star.

Publisher and developer Tripwire Interactive is pleased to launch the Talvisota Team’s Talvisota: Winter War mod for Rising Storm 2: Vietnam today. Available for FREE later today to all owners of Rising Storm 2: Vietnam, Talvisota: Winter War brings a fully-fleshed mod that converts the same esteemed gameplay mechanics of Rising Storm 2: Vietnam and transforms the backdrop from the hot, humid climate of Vietnam in the 1960’s and 70’s to the frozen forests of Finland, during the 1939-40 Soviet-Finnish Winter War.

COMANCHE First Early Access Update Now Live

Comanche’s first Early Access update is now live and already incorporates valuable feedback from the community.

Rework of some of the Controls (especially Gamepad)
Progression in SinglePlayer

In addition to above mentioned community-centered implementations, the update also contains numerous balancing changes (single- and multiplayer oriented), as well as general bugfixes.

Singleplayer

As requested by the community, Comanche will get a singleplayer campaign. Starting with one mission available from March 12th on, developer Nukklear will add new missions on a regular basis.

Multiplayer

The 4vs4 team-based multiplayer will start with two modes, one called Black Box, the other Infiltration. In Black Box, the goal is to collect more black boxes from destroyed Comanches with your drone. You can collect both enemy and friendly black boxes using the drone, so this mode guarantees intense team fights at close range. Infiltration again combines helicopter combat and drone piloting: your objective is to either defend or infiltrate a base. Attackers must place an EMP, defenders must disarm it.

Flight & Combat Training

In a variety of different missions, you can learn how to fly your Comanche and its drone to familiarise yourself with the flight controls and how to maneuver in combat. As Comanche requires some practice before you become a good pilot, we highly recommend players check out the training missions.

Available Helicopters & Drones

Five Comanches and four drones will be available at the Early Access launch, all coming with specific weapons, abilities and strengths and weaknesses. Each type of Comanche has a certain role to fulfill in the team-based combat and is suitable for a special type of player, so choose your favorite.

AMD Releases Radeon Software Adrenalin 20.4.1 Beta Drivers

AMD has released a new beta driver on their Radeon Software Adrenalin suite. Driver number 20.4.1 beta brings with it support for Capcom’s Resident Evil 3, on which we’ve already written a deep-dive performance article for you to peruse (heads-up: it’s a pretty good and pretty good-looking game).

Alongside this support, AMD has also fixed a number of issues, including black screens or application hangs in both Overwatch and heroes of the Storm. One important known issue that is listed is the chance of a black screen or system hang when running Folding@Home while also running an application using hardware acceleration of video content. We shan’t have that – so if you run into issues like these whilst offering your processing power to the world, beware. (Release Notes)
