imperator-romeThere Are Still Worlds to Conquer in New Imperator Content Pack

Heirs of Alexander DLC accompanied by Free Military Update

The career of Alexander III of Macedon was short and brilliant. In his decade-long war in Asia, Alexander’s fire burned a legend into the hearts of kings and conquerors who would follow. His death, however, meant civil war as comrade turned on comrade in an effort to claim the sacred mantle of the fallen king. Do you have what it takes to be the true Heir to Alexander’s legacy?

Paradox Development Studio and Paradox Thalassic are happy to announce Heirs of Alexander, a new Content Pack for Imperator: Rome. Focusing on the successor kingdoms to Alexander the Great’s empire, this Content Pack adds greater depth to playing out the grand ambitions of the Seleucid, Ptolemaic, Antigonid and Macedonian kingdoms.

The Heirs of Alexander content pack includes:

  • Unique Mission Trees: New special mission objectives for the Antigonid Empire in Anatolia, Seleucid Empire in Asia, Ptolemaic Empire in Egypt, Macedonia and Thrace.
  • Shared Mission Tree: Diadochi-themed mission objectives available to all of the Successor Kingdoms.
  • Wonder Designer: New tool that allows players to build their own custom monuments, adding bonuses to their location or to the entire empire.
  • New Events: Various Historical Events based on the history and legacy of Alexander’s followers.
  • New Deities: Regional gods and goddesses from the Hellenistic kingdoms.
  • New Treasures: Distinctive artifacts from the Hellenistic kingdoms.
  • New Music: Three new music tracks to inspire your Successor Kingdom.

Heirs of Alexander will be available at major online retailers on 16 February 2021 for the suggested retail price of $9.99/£7.19/€9.99..

This content pack will be accompanied by a major free update. The 2.0 ‘Marius’ update to Imperator: Rome is a significant reworking of the military system in the game, adding new features that transform war and army management.

  • Levies: Draft levies from your provinces to fight your wars. Their size and composition is based on the cultures and population types in the province.
  • Legions: Advance your military technology to create standing, professional military forces to guard your empire. But beware of their cost and tendency to follow disloyal generals.
  • Military Histories: Legions and Mercenary units have histories that will list their accomplishments over time, earning honors or penalties based on their legacies.
  • Engineers: Special cohort to help with sieges, river crossings and road building.
  • Changes to Inventions and Military Traditions: Radically overhauled invention system – unlock new abilities alongside old inventions, and shape your civilization like never before.
  • Diadochi War Goals: New large scale conquests available to Hellenistic kingdoms to better model the ambitions of Successor rulers.
  • UI Overhaul: Completely reworked interface to make options and decisions more intuitive.
  • And much more: New unit models for levy and legion units, new port construction options, changes to forts and deities

order-of-battle-allies-defiant

Matrix Games and Slitherine have announced that Order of Battle: Allies Defiant, the first chapter in a new trilogy of DLCs that depicts World War 2 from the Allied perspective, is out now.

Allies Defiant covers the battles starting from the spring of 1940 to late 1942. It features a fully-fledged campaign with 12 new scenarios and some of the most iconic British units of WW2.

We’re celebrating the beginning of this new trilogy with a week-long 60% discount on all the previous expansions, valid until Feb 4th, 12:00 GMT. Check them out here.

ALLIES DEFIANT CAMPAIGN

In the first battle, the player takes command of British units deployed to Norway. When the war intensifies on the Western Front in May 1940, they are forced to change their focus and the next two scenarios feature defensive battles in Belgium and France.

Afterwards the campaign moves to North Africa, where British forces battle Axis troops in Egypt and Libya. In spring 1941, the player gets to fight the crucial naval battle at Cape Matapan in the Mediterranean Sea. They are then reassigned to participate in the defence of Greece after.

The last stage of Allies Defiant focuses again on the desert war, which changed dramatically with the arrival of Rommel’s Afrikakorps. Since the Desert Fox managed to drive the Allies back into Egypt in 1942, the player has to deplete enemy offensive strength before they can finally resume offensive operations. This will allow them to deal Axis forces a decisive defeat at El Alamein.

panzer-corps-2-axis-operations-1941The world watches as “blitzkrieg” truly begins…

2 years have passed since the start of a war that would see nearly all of Europe in ruins. German ambitions have grown dangerously. High on victory and with only the Balkans to secure, Germany plans to violate its pact with Russia and launch the largest and fastest tank assault in history. Though Russia was tipped off that such an assault was coming, this intel was not acted on. Her armies find themselves caught by surprise and scrambling to defend themselves from the coming onslaught…

Take command of Germany during this time in Panzer Corps 2: Axis Operations – 1941. First, secure your flank from Italian failure and take command in the Balkans. Germany took serious losses here and in Crete, which would later be known as “the graveyard of Fallschirmjäger”. Your steady hand could prevent losses here that would hurt German efforts in the future.

Once your flank is secured, launch your assault on Russia. Your mission: Inflict as much damage as possible. Running against the clock, strike hard at grounded aircraft and stranded armed forces. Russia can be given no time to consolidate and strike back, so plan your attacks accordingly…

New features:

  • Construct airports in hostile territory and take command of the skies in situations where traditional airbases are not available.
  • Improved Soviet infantry models for Guards, Paratroopers, Mountain, and Conscripts.
  • New British Cruiser MKII CS artillery tank.
  • Bf-109Z and He-111Z make their debut into the Axis Operations.
  • 20 new missions with scale never before seen in Panzer Corps 2.
