This new DLC expands the modern warfare sandbox of Combat Mission Shock Force 2 with a focused collection of intense, small-scale engagements set in the turbulent aftermath of a hypothetical NATO invasion of Syria.

Damascus has fallen, but the war is far from over. Across the country, regime loyalists, isolated military units, and local militias continue to resist occupying forces. Some are determined to fight to the last man, while others prepare for a prolonged insurgency. In this unstable environment, every engagement is volatile and tactical decision-making is critical.

Battle Pack places players directly into these flashpoints, emphasizing asymmetric warfare and hard-fought combat in both urban and rural terrain.

The DLC includes four new campaigns and seven standalone scenarios, ranging from insurgent raids on exposed mortar positions to neighbourhood militias clashing over humanitarian aid. These scenarios are designed to offer varied tactical challenges and strong replayability.

For scenario designers, the DLC includes five large and detailed master maps based on real Syrian locations, supporting custom scenario creation and advanced mission design.

More than a cockpit experience, the game also allows players to command the wider air war as an AWACS controller—overseeing the entire theatre, directing allied aircraft, observing every engagement in real time, and instantly jumping into the cockpit of any F-22 when the situation demands it.

Set in a vast, target-rich Red Sea theatre, the game offers over 90 missions across seven campaigns, ranging from stealth interception and air superiority to airfield attacks and naval strikes. Aces of Thunder allows the players to fly a selection of legendary aircraft from World War II, including Mustang, Bf 109, Fw 190, Yak‑9T, IL‑2, A6M3 Zero, as well as Great War icons like the Fokker Dr.I and SPAD S.XIII. All these aircraft feature authentic flight and damage models, with highly detailed cockpits and armament, and are available right from the start.

Online battles take the players to key theaters of war, from Western and Eastern Europe to the Pacific across 15 atmospheric maps. Engage in intense online duels against pilots from around the world, play through the “War Tales” campaign, or hone your skills in single player missions, inspecting your aircraft in the hangar between sorties. The battles take place exclusively from the cockpit view to provide ultimate immersion, and the game fully supports a variety of input methods including HOTAS.
