Total War: Attila – The Ashen Horse Trailer Released

total-war-attila-box SEGA offers a new video for Total War: Attila, the follow-up title to Total War: Rome II scheduled to be available on February 17th, 2015, across all territories on both physical and digital formats. Developed by Creative Assembly, the next installment in the multi award-winning Total War series of strategy games will include some features that fans have been asking for, such as family trees and skill trees. It also features advanced street-fighting, civilians, complete settlement destruction and dynamic fire that can rage across a city as armies clash.

The Huns’ expert horsemanship makes them formidable foes. In battle, their combination of ranged attacks and the speed at which they can cover ground is breath-taking – and terrifying – to behold. Ubisoft Announces Release Date for Assassin’s Creed: Rogue on PC

Assassin’s Creed Rogue To Include Eye-Tracking Technology

Ubisoft announced that Assassin’s Creed: Rogue for Windows PC will be available for sale on March 10, 2015 across EMEA territories.

Developed by Ubisoft Sofia, in collaboration with Ubisoft’s Singapore, Montreal, Quebec, Chengdu, Milan and Bucharest studios, Assassin’s Creed: Rogue takes players to new adventures with Shay Patrick Cormac, a member of the Brotherhood who becomes an Assassin Hunter. Starting in 1752, Assassin’s Creed: Rogue is set during the Seven Years War and gives players new locations across North America to explore, including the frozen North Atlantic, the Appalachian River Valley and New York. As Shay Patrick Cormac, players suffer the brotherhood’s betrayal and experience the Assassin’s Creed universe through the eyes of a Templar. Ubisoft Kiev adapted Assassin’s Creed: Rogue for Windows PC.

The acclaimed naval components from previous Assassin’s Creed games have been enhanced in Assassin’s Creed: Rogue. The game also gives players new weapons to use on both land and sea in pursuit of taking down the Assassins, including a new ship called the Morrigan.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Havoc DLC Coming to PC This Month

Havoc, the first DLC pack for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, is coming to PC on 26th February. Packed to the brim with content, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Havoc includes four new, epic multiplayer maps, access to the versatile AE4 directed energy assault rifle, the AE4 Widowmaker custom variant, plus an exciting all-new cooperative mode called Exo Zombies.

Havoc includes a new cooperative experience, Exo Zombies. Featuring a story told through the eyes of four employees of the Atlas corporation and played by a celebrity cast consisting of John Malkovich (In the Line of Fire, RED, Burn After Reading), Bill Paxton (Aliens, Titanic, Edge of Tomorrow), Rose McGowan (Planet Terror, Scream) and Jon Bernthal (Fury, The Wolf of Wall Street), Exo Zombies ushers in a new breed of zombies and a truly unique experience, all included first in the Havoc DLC Pack. The actors provide their voice over and likeness in a dark and cinematic adventure new to Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. These four performers help enlist players into a world where a DNA bioweapon unexpectedly spawns a bloodthirsty, ravenous mutant horde infecting a secret Atlas research facility and sending personnel running for their lives. Following a failed evacuation, four survivors, un-trained and underprepared, must face the most vicious mutations ever unleashed.

Men of War: Assault Squad 2 Iron Fist DLC Announced

Leading Eastern and Central European publisher, 1C Company, announced the release of the Men of War: Assault Squad 2 first DLC named Iron Fist.

Iron Fist contains a set of new features and additional single player content:

Replays of your multiplayer matches and the ability to save, load and share them with others
3rd person direct control feature
5 new singleplayer skirmishes in which you fight as a veteran tank crew via the new 3rd person controls
Free updates include DirectX 10 Support, Multiplayer spectator slots, Unit veterancy, Auto ammo ressuply

Men of War: Assault Squad 2 Iron Fist DLC is set to be released digitally on February 19th 2015, for suggested price 9.99 EUR/9.99 USD/6.99 GBP.

We review the ASRock Fatal1ty X99X Killer motherboard, this high-end X99 motherboard from ASrock has lovely features yet remains priced competitively in the 225 EURO / 279 USD margin. It has good tweaking options and allows up-to 3-way multi-GPU gaming in Crossfire or SLI. Features are nice, like the ten SATA 6 Gbps ports, the two Gigabit NIC jacks and the 7.1 channel HD audio as delivered by the high-end Realtek ALC1150 codec covered by an EMI shield, of course.

ASUS X99-PRO Haswell-E Motherboard Review

The X99-PRO seems to combine most of the X99-Deluxe’s features and overclocking potential into a package that’s more affordable. However, that lower price does hide several areas that have been cut back. So at first glance this motherboard looks to be every bit as promising as the Deluxe, but while it looks great on paper we are going to find out if the X99-PRO can actually meet our lofty expectations.

Historical Article: Enola Gay – the War Ends

The US Strategic Bombing Campaign on Japan, Part 3

As soon as Colonel Paul Tibbets felt his B-29 bomber the “Enola Gay” lurch upwards following the release of the 9,700 lb. atomic bomb “Little Boy” from its bomb bay, he and his co-pilot advanced or “firewalled” the engine throttles to maximum over boost as he put the plane into a shallow dive to gain as much speed as possible and put as many miles between his fleeing bomber and the nuclear bomb currently hurtling towards earth. He had two minutes before the bomb was scheduled to detonate in an air burst 2,000 feet above the city. He ordered his crew to put on their welders goggles over their eyes to shield them from the bomb’s expected blinding flash. Concussion from the bomb’s detonation rattled and shook the bomber as one crewman exclaimed “My God!” over the interphone as to what he witnessed below. A massive mushroom shaped cloud of many colors boiled and arose thousands of feet above the now brightly blazing city. A Japanese fighter pilot flying through the same cloud rolled back his canopy and stretched his hand outside the cockpit to the colorful smoke all around his plane. In doing so, he unknowingly signed his own death warrant and soon died from radiation poisoning in the coming days. The bomb killed 78,000 people although many thousands more would die from its after effects in the weeks, months and years afterwards. In addition, the bomb destroyed almost 5 square miles of the city. The Enola Gay and its five accompanying weather spotter bombers returned to the Marianas without incident. Their 509th Composite Group had dropped the very first atomic bomb in wartime history. Unfortunately, the Japanese military government remained completely unmoved in their fervent Bushido code desire to continue their suicidal war to its bitter, bloody end against the Allies.
