Square Enix announces a December 1st global release date for Just Cause 3, the upcoming continuation of Avalanche Studios’ action-packed action series for Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. “Just Cause 3 is one of our most anticipated titles and we’re excited to build on everything the community loved about Just Cause 2,” says Phil Rogers, CEO of Square Enix. “With a beautiful 400 square-mile sandbox, Just Cause 3 will offer players almost endless hours of creativity, destruction and awe-inspiring stunts this December 1.” They celebrate the news with a This Is Just Cause 3 trailer which reveals “all the features, challenges, vehicles and weapons that players all around the world are eagerly waiting to get their hands on this Holiday.”

When Historical Reenactment meets Video Games

Scourge of War recreates the Battle of Waterloo 200 years after through Twitch

In order to properly commemorate the bicentenary anniversary of the Battle of Waterloo, Matrix Games is teaming up with developer NorbSoftDev to reproduce, live, the most dramatic moments of the final great encounter between Napoleon and his opponents. This spectacle will be delivered thanks to a live Twitch stream of Scourge of War: Waterloo, with historical scenarios being played at exactly the same time as events happened in June 18, 1815.

12:00 – Attack on Pappelotte (30min)
12:30 – 2nd Attack on Hougoumont (60min)
13:30 – Count d’Erlon’s Attack on the Allied left (60min)

Rainbow Six: Siege Multiplayer Trailer

UbiBlog now offers the E3 2015 multiplayer trailer from Rainbow Six: Siege, the upcoming installment in the tactical shooter series. Here’s the accompanying explanation:

One team defends, the other attacks. It’s a simple dynamic, but what Rainbow: Six Siege’s multiplayer does with it is immediately, irresistibly compelling, as two squads of five counter-terrorist experts use every trick at their disposal to hamper, misdirect and destroy one another. Rainbow Six: Siege’s matches are as open-ended as they are vicious, and you can get another glimpse of them in this trailer, unveiled today during Microsoft’s E3 2015 press conference.

Each of Siege’s multiplayer stages presents its own unique challenges – a fortified jetliner, for example, doesn’t offer as many entry points as a windowed building with skylights in its flat roof – and overcoming your enemies’ fortifications and traps is just as fun as laying them. If you’d like an early sample of Siege’s cerebral shootouts, you can sign up for the closed beta, which begins on September 24. Everyone else won’t have long to wait, however, as Rainbow Six: Siege launches on October 13 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC

Ghost Recon: Wildlands Announced – Reveal Trailer

Today, at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), Ubisoft announced the development of Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Wildlands, a new entry in the acclaimed Ghost Recon series and the franchise’s first open world title. Ghost Recon: Wildlands is scheduled to be released on Xbox One, PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system and Windows PC.

Development on Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Wildlands is being led by Ubisoft Paris in collaboration with five other Ubisoft studios.

Set a few years from now, Ghost Recon: Wildlands lets players lead a team of Ghosts, a four-player U.S. Elite Special Operations unit, on a covert mission to eliminate the Santa Blanca drug cartel, an underworld power and growing global threat within Ubisoft’s imagining of an incredibly beautiful, yet dangerous Bolivia. Ghost Recon: Wildlands takes place in the largest and most diverse action-adventure open world Ubisoft has created to date. Here’s the E3 Cinematic Trailer for Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate, the upcoming continuation of the assassination game. Word is: “Assassins’ Creed Syndicate tells the story of Jacob Frye and his quest to seize control of London’s criminal underground. Watch as he leads his gang—The Rooks—in a frantic fight through the city, traversing the rooftops, streets, and even a speeding train to take down a rival gang that is cruelly exploiting the people of London.” They also offer a new gameplay trailer with the following explanation: “Straight from the stage, get a first look at the official E3 2015 Assassin’s Creed Syndicate gameplay walkthrough. Check out the intense up-close combat as well as the ability to traverse the city faster than ever before with brand new vehicles like horse carts and trains.
