silverstone-tundra-td03-slim-aio-cpu-coolerBy Marc Adams @ HardOCP

Silverstone has a whole lot of focus on PC accessory footprints and its latest “smaller is better” mantra seems to be working for it. Today we are reviewing another Tundra Series All-In-One CPU cooler. This time is a single fan radiator design that promises to be thin enough to stick just about anywhere. The TD03-Slim is designed for people with the smallest of systems that have the least amount of space. Can SilverStone replicate the magic of the TD02-Slim and can they do it for a competitive price? These are just some of the questions I hope to answer.

worldofwarships-logoWargaming today launched the first major update of the New Year for World of Warships: 0.5.3. Players can test their might in the thrilling new battle type Team Battles, learn new Commander Skills, try out consumables, and conquer a new map.

With the introduction of Team Battles, captains can now create a formidable fleet with other players to take on teams from 3:00 pm PST–11:00 pm PST, ensuring there is always a skirmish at the ready. Team Battles is unlocked at account level 12 and pits two teams of seven against each other to rank up their rating and progress through the leagues. This battle type is also available to solo players, which means that all those mercenary captains out there can drop in to battles on the fly.

Update 0.5.3 introduces several new Commander Skills to help players achieve a perfect balance of support and aggression. The new consumable—Torpedo Reload Booster—is great for Japanese destroyers and a must for all torpedo aficionados.

The new map Tears of the Desert is set to make waves among higher tier vessels. Modelled on the islands near the coast of North Africa, featuring arid desert and clusters of barren rocks, this map is perfect for cover and luring enemies into tough situations.

Ubisoft offers a new trailer from Tom Clancy’s The Division highlighting the upcoming open beta testing of the third-person shooter. You can sign up for the beta on the Ubisoft website and those accepted can begin preloading now. Windows testing will run from February 19-21, and they take the occasion to discuss changes from the closed beta:

If this isn’t your first time playing The Division, you’ll be able to discover a new story mission that wasn’t in the closed beta. Also, everyone who participates in the open beta gets access to a special in-game reward that can be unlocked in Uplay when the full game is released for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC on March 8.

Tom Clancy’s The Division takes place weeks after a devastating pandemic sweeps through New York City on Black Friday. One by one, basic services fail and in only days, without food or water, society collapses into chaos. The Division, an autonomous unit of tactical agents leading seemingly ordinary lives among us, is activated to save society. Team up with other players to investigate the source of the virus, protect civilians from dangerous factions, and reclaim the city from the overwhelming turmoil.

fallout4-logoToday we revealed details for the first three Fallout 4 add-ons, plans for additional content, updates, mods, and more. Since Fallout 4 launched, we’ve been blown away by your support for the game. It stands as our most successful title ever and that couldn’t have happened without you. It’s been truly inspiring, the stories, images and experiences that you’ve created. And now it’s time to share with you some of what we’ve been creating – our first series of add-ons: Automatron, Wasteland Workshop and Far Harbor.

  • Automatron
  • Release: March 2016
  • The mysterious Mechanist has unleashed a horde of evil robots into the Commonwealth, including the devious Robobrain. Hunt them down and harvest their parts to build and mod your own custom robot companions. Choose from hundreds of mods; mixing limbs, armor, abilities, and weapons like the all-new lightning chain gun. Even customize their paint schemes and choose their voices!
  • Wasteland Workshop
  • Release: April 2016
  • With the Wasteland Workshop, design and set cages to capture live creatures – from raiders to Deathclaws! Tame them or have them face off in battle, even against your fellow settlers. The Wasteland Workshop also includes a suite of new design options for your settlements like nixi tube lighting, letter kits, taxidermy and more!
  • Far Harbor
  • Release: May 2016
  • A new case from Valentine’s Detective Agency leads you on a search for a young woman and a secret colony of synths. Travel off the coast of Maine to the mysterious island of Far Harbor, where higher levels of radiation have created a more feral world. Navigate through the growing conflict between the synths, the Children of Atom, and the local townspeople. Will you work towards bringing peace to Far Harbor, and at what cost? Far Harbor features the largest landmass for an add-on that we’ve ever created, filled with new faction quests, settlements, lethal creatures and dungeons. Become more powerful with new, higher-level armor and weapons. The choices are all yours.

And more important, that this is only the beginning. We have plans for more. More than £45 worth of new Fallout adventures and features throughout 2016.

Given the expanded DLC plan, the price of the season pass will increase from the current £24.99 to £39.99 on March 1, 2016. However, if you already purchased the season pass for £24.99, nothing changes – you still get everything at no additional cost— the full £45 offering of add-on content for the original price of £24.99. In addition, if you didn’t buy the season pass yet, there is still time: Anyone who buys the Season Pass for £24.99 before March 1st will get all £45 worth of content. This is our way of saying thanks to all our loyal fans who have believed in us and supported us over the years.

Want a chance to play these add-ons early? We’ll be running closed betas for each of the add-ons for consoles and PC. And you can sign up right now on Bethesda.net. In order to apply, you’ll need to create a registered Bethesda.net account. We’ll be selecting applicants in the upcoming weeks. Players accepted into the beta will receive a code to redeem the content. The beta is the full version (complete with achievements) and those participating will not have to purchase the add-on.

Beyond add-ons, we’ll continue to offer free updates to the game, including new features like the recent weapon debris for PC, and increased draw distances for consoles, as well as more optimizations to gameplay and quests. And something that we’re really excited about, a complete overhaul of Survival Mode that changes how you play the whole game. Food, sleep, diseases, danger and more.

We’re also hard at work on the Creation Kit, which will allow you to create and play mods absolutely free. We’re currently testing both Survival Mode and the Creation Kit now, and more details will be forthcoming.

Check out the add-on announcement screenshots here.

pillars-of-eternity-logoObsidian Entertainment and Paradox Interactive today released the second part of their expansion to Pillars of Eternity, the award-winning title backed by dedicated fans of classic role-playing games (RPGs). The second part of the expansion, titled The White March – Part 2, concludes the epic story of Pillars of Eternity, and brings closure to one of the most successful Kickstarter campaigns of all time. With both parts of the expansion now released, Obsidian Entertainment has completed their record-setting crowdfunding campaign alongside backers who pledged millions of dollars to create the award-winning title. The The White March – Part 2 is available today on Windows, Mac, and Linux PCs from digital retailers everywhere.

See what awaits players at the end of their journey with a launch trailer for The White March – Part 2.

“We launched the Kickstarter campaign for what we were calling ‘Project Eternity’ three and a half years ago. It’s surreal to think about just how much this game has meant to us at Obsidian, and how much it’s changed us as a developer,” said Feargus Urquhart, CEO of Obsidian Entertainment. “Working so closely with our backer community was a major part of the process, and helped us understand precisely what our fans wanted. Now, with Pillars of Eternity winning awards and standing as one of the biggest RPG releases of 2015, I’m proud to say we fulfilled our promise to our backers, and then some. Best of all, we’ve got plenty more stories we plan to tell within the world of Pillars of Eternity.”
