For those of us gamers or PC users who love the look presented by RGB PC peripherals Cooler Master has something in store for us. In addition to Cooler Master’s cooling units and cases they also produce computer peripherals such as keyboards, mice, headsets, earphones, and mousepads. Cooler Master has just released a mem-chanical (membrane switches with a tactile feel similar to that of a mechanical switch but longer life than conventional membrane switches) keyboard and mouse combo that could potentially make a great RGB addition to a casual home setup/beginner’s gaming rig. Within NVIDIA’s stable of board partners there’s a continual rush to capitalize upon the inherent popularity that comes alongside a virtual monopoly. This has led to a wide range of options for gamers to choose from but in amongst this cornucopia of choice, ASUS’ STRIX series has remained at the forefront among many potential buyers. Simply put, their cards are known for offering high performance and good overclocking headroom while remaining quiet and tastefully appointed. In this review I’m getting the two-for-one special: the ASUS ROG GTX 1080 STRIX OC and ROG GTX 1070 STRIX OC.

AMD has released the Radeon Software Crimson Edition 16.9.1 Beta drivers. The drivers add optimization for the DirectX 12 renderer of “Deus Ex: Mankind Divided,” and adds an AMD CrossFire profile for the DirectX 11 renderer of “DOTA 2.” The drivers also address flickering on certain 144 Hz displays, and some rare game crash bugs on “DOOM,” “Total War: Warhammer,” “DiRT Rally,” and “GTA V.”

Middle-aged or older players will no doubt get a frisson of déjà vu when they read today’s headlines: two super powers and a confusing mix of proxies involved in the volatile Middle East and Russia apparently trying to regain lost areas of the Soviet Union as NATO loses coherence. WarfareSims and Slitherine/Matrix uses Command Modern Air and Naval Operations (CMANO) to simulate both these situations in the first two expansions of their new Command LIVE program: “Old Grudges Never Die” and “You Brexit, You Fix It”. Insights gained in these DLCs will disrupt a restful sleep.

Here’s a multiplayer reveal trailer for Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, showing off the next installment in the shooter series. The description mentions that this is true to the roots of the franchise, an interesting perspective, as the science fiction action doesn’t really resemble the World War II setting of the first three Call of Duty games. They also promise beta access for preorders, but this only applies to consoles, as the once PC-exclusive series covers the topic in five terse words: “Beta not available on PC.” Here’s word:

New Trailer Shows off Helicopters, Highlights Asymmetrical Gameplay for Vietnam War Shooter

Tripwire Interactive has released a brand new trailer highlighting the air power that United States Armed Forces will have at their disposal in their upcoming tactical FPS, Rising Storm 2: Vietnam. The sequel to the smash hit Rising Storm, PC Gamer’s 2013 ‘Multiplayer Game of the Year’, Rising Storm 2: Vietnam will be published by Tripwire Interactive, and is currently being developed by Antimatter Games, the same team that created the award-winning innovative asymmetric gameplay of the original Rising Storm.

Today’s brand new trailer features three helicopters which can be piloted by players during matches in action. The all-purpose and iconic UH-1H Iroquois, nicknamed the “Huey”, functions as both a transport, carrying up to 6 passengers around the battlefield, or a mobile spawn point for U.S. Armed Forces, bringing with it two M60 door guns to provide cover for teammates below. Battlefield tacticians will likely favor the OH-6 Cayuse, nicknamed the “Loach”, for its ability to quick recon the map and the ability to use commander abilities from the cockpit. The final helicopter, the AH-1G, nicknamed the “Cobra”, brings down the heavens with its arsenal of weapons, including two FFAR rocket pods, a 20mm M195 auto-cannon, a 40mm grenade launcher, and a front-mounted minigun.

Rising Storm 2: Vietnam is currently under development by Antimatter Games and will be published by Tripwire Interactive for PC and is slated for release in early 2017. This title has not yet been rated by the ESRB, but Tripwire Interactive anticipates a rating of “M” for Mature.
