Deep Silver and 4A Games are thrilled to announce that Sam’s Story, the second major story DLC for Metro Exodus is out now while also confirming that Metro Exodus will return to Steam on February 15th.

Sam’s Story follows former US Marine Sam, a Spartan Ranger who has worked under Colonel Miller since the nuclear war devastated Moscow, and followed Artyom in search of a world outside of the Metro. Sam had long dreamed of returning to his homeland, and perhaps even finding his father alive. The prospect seemed impossible in the darkened tunnels of the Metro, but when the Spartans discovered that Moscow was not the only city left alive after the war, holding out hope didn’t feel so foolish anymore.

Sam, determined to find a way back to the USA, departed from the Aurora to make his way through Vladivostok’s tsunami ravaged harbours, ruined industrial buildings, and crumbling residential districts. However, to complete his journey, Sam will discover that he needs every tactic he has learned so far to survive, as his surroundings prove to be far trickier than expected.

In this expansive ‘sandbox survival’ level, players will experience another gripping story line featuring new characters, weapons and mutant variants, in a huge, non-linear environment that offers hours of gameplay.

There’s no shortage of amazing PC cases on the market right now, so each brand has to do something to stand out from the crowd. They can focus on price, features, or throw in some unique X-factor. On paper, it looks like Cougar has decided to try all three with the Gemini T. At £129.96 it’s not “cheap” but it’s a competitive price for such a feature-packed PC case. That’s a bit less than an NZXT H510 Elite, Corsair 570X, and Thermaltake View 71 TG.

As for the X-factor, the Gemini T has a strong focus on its unique tempered glass design, as well as their Trelux Dynamic RGB Lighting. That’s technical jargon for curved glass and some funky LED strips on the exterior of the case. We’ll see all those in action shortly though. On top of all that, you get support for an ATX motherboard, vertical GPU mounting, a built-in PSU shroud, cable management, and plentiful fan and radiator support too.

It has been almost 6 years since Cougar released the 700K Aluminum Gaming keyboard. It received the iF Design Award in 2014. Now, it’s time for the new version with a suffix – Evo – clearly suggesting that it’s an evolution (the full name is Cougar 700K Evo). Again, it has Cherry MX mechanical switches, an aluminum frame, and G-keys (similar to Corsair’s K95 Platinum, which we reviewed recently). The Cougar 700K Evo is a flagship mechanical gaming keyboard aimed at (guess who) … gamers, and primarily MOBA/MMO fans. So what are the main differences compared with the predecessor? The RGB lighting and the wrist rest made of the leatherette material. It’s possible to control the lighting effects via the COUGAR UIX™ System. It lets you set the functions of all the keys, store macros, and create your own backlight effects. The 700K EVO´s internal memory allows to store up to three full configuration profiles. War Room – a real-time strategy game where you manage military units in Afghanistan, is in development. Gear up and watch the latest trailer!

Take on the role of an American military commander and coordinate complex operations in Afghanistan. Try to regain control of the situation and stabilize one of the world’s most tumultuous and dangerous provinces. Watch the latest trailer of War Room and prepare for missions, part of which are based on real events.

Send units to villages occupied by enemy forces. Attack terrorist bases and hideouts. Manage your troops and equipment using a strategic map and follow battles thanks to a view from a military drone. Complete story missions, but also ensure the safety of your bases and popularity of your actions in each sector through side objectives. However, be careful not to get distracted. Achieve your military goals with special consideration for the humanitarian side of the conflict.

War Room is a real-time strategy game in which you manage military units spread across the territory of the Province. Resources at your disposal are limited, and you have to skillfully manage them in order to accomplish each mission. Deploy units to locations where you suspect enemy presence, but think carefully when you decide on their size – assign your forces suitable to the task at hand or you might end up with too few troops ready to fight when you really need them. Take over territory, deploy drones and observe the situation in specific locations in real time. And finally, take control of each of the nine sectors.

Your actions will be evaluated, and good results will be rewarded with additional troops and vehicles, giving you the ability to perform larger and more complex operations.

WAR ROOM MAIN FEATURES:

• A huge (1000 sq. km) 3D map based on a real map of Afghanistan. Operate within nine sectors, with one command center each. Attack enemy bases and hideouts, push enemies out of civilian settlements, deny them control of any territory.
• Many hours of exciting gameplay in a single campaign.

Begin in one of the sectors where the main base (MOB) is located. Start as a new commander and take over one of the most challenging combat zones of this War. Search and destroy enemies in the first sector and then continue further, gaining ground until the entire province is under your control.

• Non-linear events. Your patrols and humanitarian missions will encounter multiple scenarios that will depend on the sector security level and population stance toward your troops. Each action you take will have further consequences. There is no single path to success. Determine which areas you wish to focus on and how to guide your forces to dominance over the enemy.
• Two play perspectives: satellite (management) and drone (tactical). The game is divided into two layers – tactical and strategic. Use the satellite view to manage your forces and equipment. Deploy drones and observe what is happening in real time.
• Territory control is the main goal of the game. Conduct military operations from the ground and air, eliminate terrorists, clear IEDs from roads, and support your troops with powerful air assets. Experience missions based on real-life operations and events. Take care of the base’s security and increase the popularity of your actions in the sector through the side missions.
• Patrolling and ‘Hearts & Minds.’ Ensure safety in the sectors you control and win the trust of the local population. Send your forces on regular patrols to project force, search and destroy enemies, protect the construction of civilian infrastructure, provide protection for local elections, or deliver humanitarian supplies to locals.
• Wide range of units and military vehicles. Execute your actions with a wide range of resources at your disposal. MRAPs of various types and sizes, specialized mine disposal vehicles, main battle tanks, and a wide selection of air units. All possible choices reflect the available arsenal for the Afghan conflict.
• Inspired by true events. The provinces and characters in the game are fictional, but most missions and operations in the game are based on real events.

Alphacool is one of the biggest and best-known names in system cooling and with good reason. Being well-reputed for their AIO cooling solutions and custom loop systems, they’re one of the most obvious choices if you’re planning to go down that road with your system. They are, without a doubt, one of the biggest market leaders!

With the launch of the brand new Eisbaer Aurora, however, this is certainly one of their most interesting designs I think I’ve ever encountered. That’s interesting in a good way, just in case you couldn’t tell.

AMD has released the latest version of Radeon Software Adrenalin 2020 Edition. Version 20.2.1 beta adds optimization for “Zombie Army 4: Dead War.” A handful issues have also been fixed. To begin with, unusually high memory usage with ReLive has been fixed. HDR content becoming excessively dark or bright with DirectX 12 games on RX 5000-series graphics cards, has been fixed. Camera element experiencing stutter with ReLive has been fixed. A missing scroll bar in the “compatibility” tab of Radeon Software application has been fixed. Also addressed is Radeon Software failing to detect VR games when SteamVR is running. Radeon Anti-Lag toggle audible alerts falsely sounding has been fixed.
