Xigmatek hasn't been around the PC aftermarket for as long as some other companies, but they've certainly made a splash, marketing some very innovative designs (including pioneering work in the direct touch heatpipe design) to good reviews from customers and the press alike. We've gotten the chance to evaluate most of the coolers and cases in their lineup and been very impressed. This time out we've got Xigmatek's Gaia SD 1283 cooler in the lab for evaluation. For product names, Xigmatek often turns to characters from Norse mythology, but they've turned to the ancient Greeks this time. Gaia is the primordial Earth mother goddess in the Greek pantheon. According to historiand, Gaia was primarily manifest in enclosed spaces: the house, the courtyard, the womb, the cave.

Can Gaia find a home in the enclosed space of your computer case? Follow along and see.
