The NATO module will introduce 5 new AT weapons to the Combat Mission: Shock Force game series.

The Panzerfaust 3 and the Carl Gustav are both recoilless anti-tank weapons. Although the name is the same as the Panzerfaust used by the German army in World War II, the operating principle is different. The PzF 3-T, used in the module, can fire dual hollow charge "tandem" warheads that can defeat explosive reactive armour. Both the Panzerfaust 3 and the Carl Gustav have a range of around 400m. The module will also include the Panzerfaust 3 iT 600, not shown in the image. It has a 600m range.

MILAN 3 and the ERYX are both portable, medium-range, anti-tank guided missiles. Both use a guide-by-wire system, requiring the operator to guide the missile by maintaining the position of the sight reticule centered on the target during missile flight. However the system used by the ERYX is said to be highly resistant to decoys or jamming and other enemy counter measures. They can both fire dual hollow charge "tandem" warheads that can defeat explosive reactive armour. The ERYX has a maximum range of 600m while with the MILAN it goes up to 2000m. The MILAN version in the game includes the MIRA thermal imaging sight.

The Gill, or Spike-MR, is the only one of the AT weapons present in the module that has a fire-and-forget system, with lock-on before launch and automatic self-guidance. It´s made up of a fire control unit, and the missile itself, weighing a total of 26kg. It has a range of 2500m.

AT weapons used by each country:

  • Germany - MILAN and Panzerfaust
  • Canada - M72 (already in the game), Carl Gustav and ERYX
  • Netherlands - Panzerfaust and Gill
