US Modern Warfare 2 and EU Left 4 Dead 2 Restricted in Germany

PC Games Hardware has word that the US edition of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and the EU edition of Left 4 Dead 2 have been restricted in Germany by the BPjM (Bundesprüfstelle für jugendgefährdende Medien), so they cannot be sold to minors nor advertised. They point out that the German editions of both games are not impacted by this ruling, and oddly, the US edition of Left 4 Dead 2 and the EU edition of Modern Warfare 2 are also still unrestricted in Germany, at least for the time being.
