Battlefield 1943 PC Confirmed for September - No Beta, But Demo Coming Instead

EA DICE have confirmed several details about the recently revealed Battlefield 1943, not least of which is that the PC version of the game will hit shelves in September - long after the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 release, which is still dated only as a summer release.
Battlefield 1943 will be a downloadable, streamlined version of the original 'Battlefield 1942' that will go on sale for $15 USD (£10 GBP), according to EA DICE producer Gordon Van Dyke. Dyke also confirmed that the number of classes for both the PC and console version of the game has been trimmed down to just three options "to increase accessibility" and that a new fourth map has been added to the game - but will only be unlocked once all players reach a combined kill-count of 43 million.
