The number of Great War strategy games are far too few. That makes it a shame that last year's World War One: La Grand Guerre suffered from so many problems. An abundance of bugs, poor documentation, and an awful interface likely turned many gamers away and seems to have discouraged the attempts of game reviewers to dig beneath the surface to find out if the game design holds up. Now, a few months after release, the developers have at least made this giant turn-based tangle somewhat playable but still not entirely enjoyable.
