Review by Grace @ DriverHeaven
Today we are going to have a look at a product from Nesteq a German computer products designer, the ASM Xzero 500W power supply. What makes the Xzero unique is that although it has a cooling fan it only uses it when the internal temperature rises above a certain temperature, making it what we would call a semi-passive running unit. It also ships with a variety of distinct features which we will analyse thoroughly in our review today.

No matter how you look at it, 1 kilowatt, or 1000 watts, it is a lot of power that most computer enthusiasts will never need. Rest assured though, some of us do need all that power and we are generally very picky about that much power gets delivered to our enthusiast computer builds. Kingwin's LZ-1000 is up to that job?

We will be reviewing the In Win Commander series power supply. Commander, as in military. And that shows, army camouflage packaging, and an army green PSU. Quite funny to observe really. Marketing sure, but somehow .. this concept works out really well. A fairly high-end power supply. But is it any good ? Let's fire off some rounds and ground the PSU with some serious ammo.

By Hilbert Hagedoorn @ GURU3D
Last week BFG dropped a mail if we wanted to test their all new BFG 1200 Watt EX power supply. A power supply that is silent, efficient, has long cabling, is pure quality, has an ATX size chassis, is completely themed dark and perhaps after all these years might be able to replace my kilowatt PSUs. As what BFG is bringing to the table is comforting. This 1200 Watt piece of machinery is fairly close to what I consider perfection in terms of design and requirements .. and with a price just under 250 USD BFG might have something really special on their hands. And that my friends makes it very interesting.

I get a fair number of power supplies in the lab for evaluation and, for the most part, they aren't the most exciting products I get to look at. While the PSU is one of the most critical elements in a system build, they just aren't very sexy. Most of the time, anyway. Hiper has a new power supply on the market that promises a bit more excitement. Stay tuned as we take a look at the Hiper Type R MKII 680W PSU and some of its attractive and innovative features.

Ok, let's just say, hypothetically, that your rich uncle Throckmorton sent you a Christmas present and, on the appointed morning, you opened it to find ... a new GTX 280 (or 4870 X2, if you're an ATI guy.) Awesome! But wait. On your last build, you cheaped out on the power supply (never a good idea) to save a few bucks, and you're pretty sure this new graphics card will let the smoke out of your lame PSU. So, what do you do? You could spend upwards of $300 on a new PSU, but who's got that kind of dough after Christmas?

Review: Corsair TX750W Power Supply

The Corsair TX series has admittedly been in the market for a while, but we wanted to add another Corsair power supply to our pile of results. Corsair tends to be somewhat conservative with their power supplies, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Their highest output power supply is "only" 1000W, the previously tested 'HX1000W' and today we are reviewing the TX750W. All of their other power supplies are rated at 400W to 650W. It's nice to see that Corsair doesn't feel the need to follow the current market trend of pushing extremely high wattage power supplies on users.
