Posted by Donster on: 2008-04-17 14:08:56 in category: Monitors / Display [ Print ]
Author: John Freeman @ TweakTown
The TRIMON is the first commercial 3D monitor available to the public from Zalman, and it is not often one gets to be the first to review a finally finished product. We have been waiting for these ZM-M220W monitors to hit the shelves for a little over a year now, with the first introduction of them at CEBIT 2007.
There have been several pre-production reviews on the net, but this is the first of the finished product with the latest drivers (ForceWare 91.31 for XP) on the included CD. NVIDIA, who make the drivers for the product have finally got it together, and so we have been given a list of 100 games that support the 3D monitor in Windows Vista. I will present that list later on in the review.

Review: Dell UltraSharp 3008WFP 30-inch LCD With DisplayPort
Posted by Donster on: 2008-01-04 14:14:01 in category: Monitors / Display [ Print ]
By Dave Altavilla @ HotHardware
Like high-end graphics cards setup in multi-GPU configurations, terabyte desktop drives, and 3GHz quad-core processors, 30-inch wide screen LCD displays cater to what we like to call the "enthusiast" niche. And though this niche obviously drives lower volume demand versus the mainstream, you have to remember that the enthusiast end-user is a very influential segment of the market, often times assisting in the definition of what will become mainstream technology tomorrow. Not to mention 30 inches of screen real-estate is a professional workstation designer's nirvana, so perhaps this niche isn't as small as it would appear on the surface.

By Charlie White @ Gizmodo
Dell has flaunted this gorgeous monitor for a while in various trade shows and press events, always saying that it's just a design concept and not available yet. That all changes now, because the 22-inch Dell Crystal LCD display is suddenly a real product. Just in time for CES, this beauty is set to ship in the next few days, and even though its spec list isn't as high-end as we had hoped, it's still so pretty, if it were smaller we'd want to wear it as a necklace.

Written by Larry Fraser @ Benchmark Reviews
Ask any gamer how big of monitor is the perfect monitor and you might just get a response of "the bigger the better". Today Benchmark Reviews takes a look at a LCD monitor aimed squarely at the "bigger is better" gaming crowd. The Hanns-G 28" LCD HG281DPB monitor seems to fit perfect with the typical gamer looking for the largest LCD screen they can get without breaking the bank. Featuring an Active Matrix TFT, 3ms response time, 1920x1200 resolution, and at a cost of under $600. On paper the specifications look great, but how would it actually perform in reality? I had to give it a shot.
