Despite the similarity of World of Tanks' name to another fairly popular game made by some random company named Blizzard, that's where the likenesses end. World of Tanks is called a free-to-play MMO, but the genre label isn't entirely accurate. This is not a huge persistent world populated solely by tanks in an especially violent reimagining of Pixar's Cars. Instead, it's a game meant to get you in and out team-based tank battles in fifteen minutes or less. The MMO-like aspect is the persistent upgrade system, where from a garage you can make extensive tweaks to an ever-growing stable of impressively modeled World War II death machines.
