In the good old tradition of the original "Empire" game of the 80's, Empires of Steel lets you create a random map from scratch within seconds and a couple of clicks. But in addition to that, Empire of Steel includes one of the most powerful map editors available on the market. Beta tester Chris Nelson has written a developer blog article about his (successful) attempt to re-create the European map within a short time, armed with nothing else but the game editor, a google'd map and using the editor's "overlay" feature and some imagination.
