Following the lead of America's Army, the U.S. Navy released this month its own computer game, geared towards recruiting young teens into its branch of the Armed Services. The new Navy Training Exercises: Strike and Retrieve is a small, downloadable game set in an ocean world: players must retrieve a lost spy plane somewhere in the Atlantic Ocean before it falls into enemy hands. To retrieve the plane, a remote vehicle will need to be deployed in enemy waters, avoiding contact or harming marine wildlife. The control of this unmanned device will require tact and strategy, rather than twitch skills.

Navy Training Exercises can be downloaded for free from this web site, and requires a Pentium III @ 1.0 GHz, 1 GB hard drive space, and a 32 MB DirectX 9.0c compliant video card.
