Hats off to Harpoon 3: Advanced Naval Warfare for bringing in yet another award

Matrix Games and Advanced Gaming Systems are proud and positively elated to announce that Harpoon 3: Advanced Naval Warfare has been awarded the coveted Origins Vanguard Award for innovative and unique gaming products!

Apart from a shiny new trophy, the institution behind judging the Vanguard Awards, the Academy of Adventure Gaming Arts and Design (originsgames.com/aagad/), had some fantastic things to say about the game. Their commentary accompanying the Vanguard Award stated that Harpoon 3: Advanced Naval Warfare is “a superior product that is in a class by itself” which takes “versatility into an unparalleled new level.”

David Heath, Director of Operations at Matrix Games, said “First and foremost, I’d like to thank the Academy of Adventure Gaming Arts and Design for their kind words and, of course, their award. Matrix Games is flattered by this praise and we hope to continue to deliver quality products like Harpoon 3: Advanced Naval Warfare long into the future.”

Don Gilman, President of Advanced Gaming Systems, added “I’m right with David when I say ‘Thanks so much!’ to the Academy of Adventure Gaming Arts and Design for this prestigious award. My design team and I poured so much effort and dedication into making Harpoon 3: Advanced Naval Warfare the unique and innovative product that it is. To receive recognition and praise like this is really gratifying and I very much appreciate everyone’s support over the years to make this game what it is today.”

Harpoon 3: Advanced Naval Warfare is the culmination of decades of development and fan support, resulting in the most comprehensive, realistic, and accurate simulation of modern combined air and naval operations available to the gaming public. Harpoon 3: Advanced Naval Warfare gives the player an opportunity to manage some of the most advanced air and naval assets available in the world, putting them in the middle of many historical and ‘what if’ scenarios. Players have the chance to battle it out against a variety of enemies using technology from all of the premier naval powers of the day. Trade shots with Iranian Revolutionary Guards in the Persian Gulf, re-live Operation El Dorado Canyon, strike at the heart of Libya, guard the Greenland-Iceland-UK gap to stop a Soviet naval invasion of the Atlantic, or stalk unwary U.S. shipping in a Soviet Akula-class submarine.
