Russian developer 1C has released a respectable packet of screenshots that illustrate what gamers can expect in their World War II based real time strategy title: World War II Real Time Strategy. In this succinctly titled projected players will command a special task force composed of different kinds of units, including tanks, APCs, field guns, mortars, various infantry regiments and will also have an opportunity to call for artillery and air support. With a focus on unit detail and combat realism, would-be generals are faced with authentic battle scenarios, taken straight from actual World War II records and maps.
Regular readers of The Wargamer may recall reading about Frontline/Wartime Command from Codemasters. This is the same game, but due to copyright issues, the Russian developer has been forced to use this generic name.
