E3 2006: World in Conflict Hands-on Preview

Vivendi and Massive Entertainment grant us some face time with their next big RTS.

There are always some surprisingly good titles at E3. We were lucky enough to get some hands-on time with one of them today called World in Conflict from the guys at Massive Entertainment who have brought us jems like Ground Control in the past. It's not a huge surprise that the engine was good or that the game was fun, but more at how much fun we all had playing it today. The action has moved out of future sci-fi and into re-writing the history of the Cold War, but it's familiarity combined with a fast and fun multiplayer game already has us excited to play it some more.
