Bethesda Softworks has announced that Wolfenstein: The New Order, an action-adventure shooter in the works at MachineGames, a Swedish studio established in 2009 by the founders of Starbreeze Studios, will release on Tuesday, May 20th in North America and throughout Europe on Friday, May 23rd. Those who pre-order the game will have access to the upcoming beta test of DOOM 4.
Taking place in 1960, Wolfenstein: The New Order depicts an alternate timeline - one in which the Nazis won World War II and took over the world and only B.J. Blazkowicz can stand up to them. The game will arrive for PC, Xbox 360, PS3, Xbox One and PS4.
