We've seen CPU coolers in all shape and sizes, as well as capabilities, and have noticed some trends during our extensive testing. One trend is that the Heatpipe Direct Touch (HDT) towers have proven to be extremely efficient in terms of cooling performance. Another is that we've seen that Xigmatek has produced some of the top HDT towers that we've tested, garnering much-deserved accolades with their CPU cooler lineup.

Today we'll see if that trend continues, as we test the Xigmatek Aegir SD128264, an HDT tower that features stunning aesthetics with polished finishes, along with a great price. It is also Socket LGA11561366 capable for Core i5/i7, and AMD AM2/AM3 compatible. That is a very attractive combination for consumers, so let's take a closer look at the Xigmatek Aegir and see how well it performs during testing.
