Wolfenstein Ships to Retail - Layoffs and Patch/Server

Activision Publishing, Inc. and id Software announced today that the highly-anticipated Wolfenstein™ is now available nationwide for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, the PLAYSTATION 3 computer entertainment system and PC. Developed by Raven Software, Wolfenstein is rated "M" for Mature by the ESRB. Read the Press Release HERE.
GamesIndustry.biz reports on the same day that Activision releases its latest title in the Wolfenstein franchise, that a number of the team responsible for the multiplayer portion of the game have been laid off.
Blue's News has word that the first patch is available for Wolfenstein, updating Raven's newly released paranormal shooter to version 1.1, accompanied by a version 1.1 dedicated server for the hosting of multiplayer games. The new version addresses a number of bugs, and also offers some enhancements, like the ability to change crosshairs from the menu, separate bindings for "use" and "item," and new quick chat bindings.
