Visit to Razorworks
by Kurt Giesselman

Third in the traveling gamer series

I visited Razorworks when I was in the UK recently. I felt the British had risked their lives enough during my drive from London to Bristol so I took the train to Oxford. From Oxford it was just a short cab ride to Kidlington. Razorworks is located, appropriately enough, above a Blockbuster Video store.

Blockbuster is certainly a good description of Razorwork’s most recent combat helicopter simulation, Enemy Engaged Comanche vs. Hokum. We have had it on the continent for several months and I was fortunate to be a participant in the closed beta test before its release in Europe. This hard core flight simulation is just hitting the shelves in the US.

EECH was released in North America on July 24th under Take2’s Talonsoft brand. Empire, the distributor for the Enemy Engaged series states the previous title Apache-Havoc is enjoying brisk sales at a discounted price as gamers pick up both simulations to fly all four helicopters in six campaigns in the combined simulation.

Kevin Bezant, producer of both simulations in the Enemy Engaged series, met me at the door. He took me around to meet each member of the team and I had an opportunity to see some of the behind the scene development works that had gone into EECH.
