Next I moved on to a more recent sim that does not need as much help in the graphics area as Falcon, EECH. I had previously been disappointed in the virtually unnoticeable improvement in this sim with the NVIDIA GeForce2GTS 32mb video card, even at lower resolutions. My revelation about NVIDIA's FSAA implementation gave me some new ideas about settings to use with this sim.

If you have a broadband connection please take a look at the bitmaps. If you don't then either take my word for this or prepare for some long downloads. The first four shots are taken at FSAA set to four. The cohokum.exe command line includes the /32bit switch (this is important). The second set of shots is taken with FSAA off (slider full left).

Figures 7 to 10 are FSAA at slider position four (4)

I can 'see' that FSAA is working in the 640x480 and 800x600 cockpits. I do not 'see' a reduction in jaggies in the 1024x768 or 1280x960 cockpits. Why is this?
